The British-flagged 56-metre-long (184-foot-long) yacht, which the experts estimated cost around $40 million, capsized and went down on August 19 within minutes of being hit by a pre-dawn storm while anchored off northern Sicily.

The superyacht's hull was insured against physical damage by yacht insurance provider OMAC and a consortium of insurers including Travelers Companies Inc, Navium Marine and Convex, Reuters reported last week.&nbsp;

Its protection and indemnity (P&amp;I) insurance, which typically covers third-party liability claims including for environmental damage, injury and death, was provided by British Marine. &nbsp;

The hull was likely insured for around $40 million, while the P&amp;I cover would be larger, insurance sources said.

"Our understanding is that the cost of the boat was between $40 and $50 million, so the limit of the hull &amp; machinery policy was probably around those values," said Marcos Alvarez, managing director, of global financial institution ratings at Morningstar DBRS.&nbsp;

The P&amp;I policy would likely be "several multiples" of the hull policy, or $200-300 million, Alvarez added, noting it would also likely cover liability payments even if the captain or crew are found to be negligent.

Prosecutors in the town of Termini Imerese, near Palermo, are investigating the captain and two other crew members. An investigation does not imply guilt or mean formal charges will follow. Prosecutors have said the probe would take time and require salvaging the wreck.

Oscar Seikaly, CEO of broker NSI Insurance Group, which provides yacht insurance, estimated the hull value at $40-70 million but said P&amp;I cover might not total more than $100 million.

P&amp;I insurance would also cover recovery of the Bayesian, said Francesco Dubbioso, country manager for Italy for insurer Alta Signa Europe, who estimated the superyacht's value at $30 million to $40 million.

Reuters is the first to report the potential insurance costs. OMAC, Travelers and Navium Marine did not immediately respond to Reuters' for comment. Convex declined to comment.

The Bayesian disaster, which has puzzled experts who said the boat would have been built to withstand a severe storm, adds to recent woes for yacht insurers, who have faced a raft of hurricane losses in the past few years.

Premium rates have risen by four to five times in the past couple of years in parts of the U.S. and the Caribbean, and yacht insurers have cut the amount of cover they provide because of the risks, Seikaly said.

As a result, insurers have increased rates and re-evaluated their guidelines and risk appetite, according to industry experts.

On condom use, the percentages of those having used one were lesser than girls from other countries. Among the girls saying they have had sex, 48 per cent in England said they used a condom the last time. The global average was 57 per cent.&nbsp;

A poisonous aquatic worm being described as "your worst nightmare" has been spotted at Texas beaches and people have been warned to stay alert. Fireworms, unusual marine critters, are washing up on beaches near Corpus Christi and Port Aransas, Harte Research Institute for the Gulf of Mexico Studies, said.

"WARNING!!! Your worst nightmares are washing up right now in the form of fireworms!," according to a Facebook post by the Institute, a division of Texas A&amp;M University in Corpus Christi.&nbsp;

"We’ve found a few of these marine polychaetes, sometimes called bristle worms, washing up over the past couple of days on large logs."

Fireworms have dozens of needle-like spikes and are extremely venomous.&nbsp;

Only about three sightings of the prickly worms have been reported in the last few years. Two of them have been in Texas while one was reported from North Carolina.&nbsp;

Fireworms are creepy and dangerous and simply need some debris to cling onto. Experts believe that they are feeding on the gooseneck barnacles covering the logs at the beaches.

If you happen to touch one of the tiny white bristles, it breaks off and unleashes a neurotoxin. The name fireworms literally comes from the way one feels when stung by the creatures.&nbsp;

Fireworms are typically five and ten centimetres long, but some of them can grow up to 35 centimetres and a few others can be a whopping foot in size.&nbsp;

The Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico commonly host the water worms - in coral reefs, rocky areas and seagrass beds. The fireworms upon contact extend their bristles which are filled with neurotoxins

Jace Tunnell, director of community engagement and marine biologist at the Harte Research Institute, told USA Today that he spotted the worms by chance.

“The logs these were found on had gooseneck barnacles all over them, which might have been what the worms were feeding on," he said.

Experts say environmental and climate changes might be the reason for the increase in their numbers on Texas beaches.&nbsp;

The good news is that they aren't spotted a lot on the beaches. “It’s not very common. And part of that is because we don’t always have debris that’s washing up,” Tunnell said. He added that he has come across one just once or twice a year on Texas beaches.&nbsp;

While the pilot who died in the crash has not been identified, a unit of Ukraine had earlier said that&nbsp;one of its pilots, Oleksiy Mes, had died in a crash on Monday (Aug 26) while repelling a Russian air attack.

"On 26 August, while repelling a Russian massive combined missile and air strike, Oleksiy destroyed three cruise missiles and one attack drone," said Ukraine's Western air command unit.

"Oleksiy saved Ukrainians from deadly Russian missiles. Unfortunately, at the cost of his own life," it added.

The report said that Iran has an estimated amount of 164.7 kilogrammes enriched to up to 60 per cent -- just a short step from bomb-grade material.&nbsp;
