Israel prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to US presidency winner Donald Trump and discussed Iran threat.
"The conversation was warm and cordial. The prime minister congratulated Trump on his election victory, and the two agreed to work together for Israel's security. The two also discussed the Iranian threat," Netanyahu's office said in a statement.

On Wednesday, French President Emmanuel Macron said that he and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz are committed to building “a more united, stronger, more sovereign Europe” following Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election.

Abortion rights ballot measures passed in seven states out of 10. The last state to pass such a measure on Wednesday was Montana. Here, in Montana, abortion rights advocates pushed to enshrine abortion rights until fetal viability into the state constitution as a safeguard against future rollbacks.
Meanwhile, Florida, Nebraska and South Dakota rejected measures that would have created a constitutional right to abortion.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he appreciates the commitment of Trump to establish “peace through strength”.
“I recall our great meeting with President Trump back in September, when we discussed in detail the Ukraine-U.S. strategic partnership, the Victory Plan, and ways to put an end to Russian aggression against Ukraine,” wrote Zelenskyy on X.
Zelenskyy added that Ukraine is interested “in developing mutually beneficial political and economic cooperation that will benefit both of our nations.”
“We look forward to an era of a strong United States of America under President Trump’s decisive leadership. I appreciate President Trump’s commitment to the ‘peace through strength’ approach in global affairs. This is exactly the principle that can practically bring just peace in Ukraine closer. NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte said that he is hoping to work with Trump “to advance peace through strength”.

Trump thanked Robert F. Kennedy Jr for his support and said that he is going "to help make America healthy again."
He said that Kennedy should "leave the oil to me" while referring to the longtime career of Kennedy as an environmental lawyer who opposed big oil.

CNN preliminary exit poll results from Pennsylvania show that about two-thirds of the voters they believe abortion should be legal in most or all cases.
Meanwhile, around 55 per cent of Pennsylvanians expressed their support for fracking, while fewer than 40 per cent opposed it. Roughly 30 per cent said the economy was their top concern, closely followed by the state of democracy. Other notable concerns included abortion (15 per cent) and immigration (12 per cent), with foreign policy trailing at under 5 per cent.

The exit polls by Edison Research has revealed that 73 per cent of the voters fear democracy is in jeopardy, while only 25 per cent believe it is secure.
According to the first preliminary exit polls, 44 per cent of the voters favour Donald Trump, while 48 per cent favour Kamala Harris.
The voters believe democracy, economy, abortion, and immigrations are the key issues.

The 2024 US election, which went to the polls on Tuesday, is set to become the most expensive in history, with total contributions reaching $15.9 billion.
The spending, which includes congressional contests, will surpass the $15.1 billion spent in 2020 and more than double 2016's $6.5 billion, according to nonprofit OpenSecrets.
In the hotly contested presidential race, Vice President Kamala Harris has emerged as the fundraising leader.

Advisors have reportedly urged Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump to declare victory prematurely if he has sufficient lead in key swing states like Pennsylvania, The Guardian reported citing people close to him.
According to the report, the general consensus among the Trump team is that the former president has nothing to lose if he makes a victory announcement based on a lead of several hundred thousand votes in swing states. Trump has been advised to make a similar announcement if his internal pollsters give him the green light, even before the results are officially declared.

The FBI said on Tuesday that fake bomb threats have been made to polling locations in several states, many of which appear to originate from Russian email domains.
"None of the threats have been determined to be credible thus far," it said in a statement. It did not identify the states.
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger also blamed a Russian operation for two non-credible bomb threats that prompted an evacuation of two Fulton County polling places. “We have identified the source,” Raffensperger told reporters. “It was from Russia. They don’t want us to have a smooth, fair and accurate election.”

US Capitol Police (USCP) just said they have arrested a man at the visitor centre who “smelled like fuel, had a torch & a flare gun.” The man had two containers with him, which smelled like gasoline.
“Our officers just arrested a man who was stopped during our screening process at the Capitol Visitor Center (CVC). The man smelled like fuel, had a torch & a flare gun,” USCP said in a statement. The man was immediately detained.

Kamala Harris cheered the end of the Boeing machinist strike which had left the assembly lines idle for seven weeks. The agreement was finalised by the International Association of Machinists on the eve of Election Day and included a 38 per cent wage increase for workers.
“I want to congratulate Boeing and the IAM for reaching an agreement that secures historic wage increases and benefits for these workers,” said Harris, in a statement.
“This agreement represents a positive step for Boeing’s future as a leader in the aerospace industry. As I always say: collective bargaining works," she added.

A man was arrested by the police after he said that he would come back with a gun and burn the polling site. The man had gone to vote in the town of Fowler but was informed he was ineligible to vote because he had failed to re-registered after release from prison.
In a news release, New York State Police said that they hunted down the man and arrested him.
