Israel prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to US presidency winner Donald Trump and discussed Iran threat.

"The conversation was warm and cordial. The prime minister congratulated Trump on his election victory, and the two agreed to work together for Israel's security. The two also discussed the Iranian threat," Netanyahu's office said in a statement.

Hezbollah's leader on Wednesday (Nov. 6) announced that the outcome of the US presidential election would not affect any potential ceasefire agreement to end the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.

According to a report from NBC, Harris is anticipated to phone Trump today to formally concede and is likely to make a public statement. The exact timing is still being decided. NBC also reported that Biden intends to call Trump today and plans to address the election results publicly.

Donald Trump has been chosen as the 47th President of the United States, becoming only the second individual in over 140 years to secure a non-consecutive second term. At the age of 78, he is now set to be the oldest person ever elected to serve in the White House.

On Wednesday, French President Emmanuel Macron said that he and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz are committed to building “a more united, stronger, more sovereign Europe” following Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election.

In a post on X, Macron said that they plan to achieve this while “cooperating with the United States of America and defending our interests and values.”

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau extended his congratulations to Donald Trump in a post on the social platform X, sharing a photo of the two together at the White House during Trump’s first term.

He wrote, "Congratulations to Donald Trump on being elected President of the United States.

The friendship between Canada and the U.S. is the envy of the world. I know President Trump and I will work together to create more opportunity, prosperity, and security for both of our nations."

Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk extended his congratulations to Trump on X, stating, “I look forward to our cooperation for the good of the American and Polish nations.”

Bulgarian President Rumen Radev also joined other world leaders in congratulating Trump on his victory for a second term as US President. “I am confident that our effective dialogue at the highest level will continue in the interest of the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and the USA,” Radev wrote in a post on X.

Abortion rights ballot measures passed in seven states out of 10. The last state to pass such a measure on Wednesday was Montana. Here, in Montana, abortion rights advocates pushed to enshrine abortion rights until fetal viability into the state constitution as a safeguard against future rollbacks. 

Meanwhile, Florida, Nebraska and South Dakota rejected measures that would have created a constitutional right to abortion. 

In some of Montana's larger cities, ballot counting has been delayed with nearly 200 people still waiting in line after midnight at the courthouse in Gallatin. 

Trump declares victory as he bags 277 votes, defeating Democratic Kamala Harris, who has bagged 224 votes. 

With his win in Wisconsin, Trump cleared the 270 mark, required to clinch the presidency. 

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he appreciates the commitment of Trump to establish “peace through strength”. 

“I recall our great meeting with President Trump back in September, when we discussed in detail the Ukraine-U.S. strategic partnership, the Victory Plan, and ways to put an end to Russian aggression against Ukraine,” wrote Zelenskyy on X. 

Zelenskyy added that Ukraine is interested “in developing mutually beneficial political and economic cooperation that will benefit both of our nations.”

“We look forward to an era of a strong United States of America under President Trump’s decisive leadership. I appreciate President Trump’s commitment to the ‘peace through strength’ approach in global affairs. This is exactly the principle that can practically bring just peace in Ukraine closer. I am hopeful that we will put it into action together,” he stated.

A ballot measure was approved by the voters in Arizona which will establish the fundamental right to abortion and prohibit the state from banning or restricting abortion before 24 weeks.

For abortion-rights supporters in the presidential battleground state it is a big win because they wanted to expand access beyond 15 weeks. 

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte said that he is hoping to work with Trump “to advance peace through strength”.

“We face a growing number of challenges globally, from a more aggressive Russia, to terrorism, to strategic competition with China, as well the increasing alignment of China, Russia, North Korea and Iran,” said Rutte.

“Working together through NATO helps to deter aggression, protect our collective security and support our economies,” he stated.

Nevada became the first state to give approval to the ballot measure to enshrine abortion rights in the state constitution. 

However, the state constitution will be amended in 2026 after voters approve the ballot question.

In his victory speech, Trump said, "It’s time to put the divisions of the past four years behind us. It’s time to unite. We have to put our country first for at least a period of time. We have to fix it.”

South Dakota emerged as the second state which rejected a ballot measure which would have protected or restored abortion access since the overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022.

Addressing the supporters, Vance thanked  Trump for "the trust" he showed in him and called the election results "the greatest political comeback in the history" of the U.S.

"After the greatest political comeback in American history, we're going to lead the greatest economic comeback in American history under Donald Trump's leadership," said Vance.

After Vance delivered his brief speech, Trump said that he had "turned out to be a good choice."

In his victory speech, Trump said "God spared my life for a reason" which was to save the country.

Trump thanked Robert F. Kennedy Jr for his support and said that he is going "to help make America healthy again."

He said that Kennedy should "leave the oil to me" while referring to the longtime career of Kennedy as an environmental lawyer who opposed big oil.

"Now he's a great guy, and he really means that he wants to do some things, and we're going to let him go to it. I just said, 'But Bobby, leave the oil to me,'" Trump said.

While thanking family members and his campaign team, Trump praised tech mogul Elon Musk who was his biggest supporter. 

"We have a new star, a star is born: Elon. He’s an amazing guy, we were sitting together tonight. You know, he spent two weeks in Philadelphia, in different parts of Pennsylvania campaigning," Trump said.

Trump said that America gave him an "unprecedented mandate" in his victory speech. "America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate. We have taken back control of the Senate. Wow, that's great," he added.

In his victory speech, Trump said that he would “not rest until we have delivered a strong safe and prosperous America.”

“Every single day, I will be fighting for you with every breath in my body," he added.

He hails "political victory" that US "has ever seen."

Former President Donald Trump won Pennsylvania defeating Democrat Kamala Harris in the critical battleground state. Both candidates campaigned vigorously in the state, visiting it more often than any other. 

Trump won Pennsylvania four years after Democrat Joe Biden carried the state in 2016.

Former President Donald Trump is closing in on a second term in the White House after winning the biggest battleground prize of Pennsylvania, US networks projected early Wednesday.

Pennsylvania has a whopping 19 electoral votes, putting him close to securing victory against Democrat Kamala Harris, CNN and NBC News reported.

Vice President Kamala Harris won New Hampshire, continuing the state’s two-decade-long streak of awarding its four electoral votes to Democrats. 

No surprises here, New Hampshire has backed Democrats in seven of the last eight presidential elections.

Vice President Kamala Harris won Hawaii, reports AP. This is the 10th straight that Hawaii has selected the Democratic Party candidate. 

The last time Hawaii picked a Republican candidate was 40 years ago in 1984, when Ronald Reagan won from the state.  

Donald Trump has secured 51 per cent of votes in the presidential election while Kamala Harris has secured 47.6 per cent, latest projections from the Associated Press showed. 

Democrat Kamala Harris emerged victorious in New Mexico, a state where she never made a campaign stop, the Associated Press projections showed.

The Democratic Party’s influence in New Mexico has only grown over the last two decades, with former President George W. Bush being the last Republican to win the state in 2004.

Donald Trump has emerged victorious in the battleground state of North Carolina, the Associated Press reported. He has won the state's 16 electoral votes. 

Democrat Kamala Harris has emerged victorious in the state of California, where she had once served as senator.

Harris also won Maine's first congressional district. 

Donald Trump is winning 52.5 per cent of the vote while Kamala Harris has secured 43.6 per cent of the vote, projections from the Associated Press show. 

Donald Trump's youngest son Barron, who turned 18 in March, voted for his father in the presidential election.

Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris won Colorado on Tuesday, picking up the state's 10 electoral votes, the Associated Press projected.
