Donald Trump was the 45th President of the United States of America and was defeated by Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.

Age, Birth Place, Education

Born to Fred Trump and Mary Anne MacLeod in Queens on June 14, 1946, he grew up in the Jamaica Estates neighbourhood and attended New York Military Academy boarding school. In 1968, he graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a degree of B.S. in Economics.

He grew up in a full house with his three older siblings Maryanne, Fred Jr., Elizabeth, and a younger brother Robert. His mother Mary Anne MacLeod was born in Scotland, and Trump recognised his Swedish roots until 1990.

Entrepreneur Career of  Donald Trump

Born into a family of business, Donald Trump learnt the art of construction business from his father. He worked as a shadow of his father during his college days, and later joined his company named Trump Management. Later, in 1971, he established The Trump Organization as an umbrella brand and caught everyone's attention by gaining a city property tax abatement for the renovation of the Commodore Hotel. He went on to construct and overtake various casinos and skyscrapers around the world.

He was also known for his appearances in TV shows such as The Apprentice.

From registering as a Republican, then to Reform Party, Democratic and back to Republican Party — Trump changed his political affiliation various times. In 1999, he approached the exploratory committee to seek nomination for presidential elections but dropped out of race in the initial stages. He rumoured to contest a few other times too, but in the end on June 16, 2015, Trump formally announced the start of his campaign in the Trump Tower.

President of the United States

Trump won the 2016 US elections with Mike Pence as his Vice President. His election was followed by various protests and demands of impeachment due to rumours and allegations of Russia meddling in the election process to help Donald Trump win against Hillary Clinton. However, no such action was taken.
