Israel-Hamas war LIVE updates: White House Spokesman John Kirby has been quoted by multiple Western media outlets as saying that there will be a four-hour pause in fighting daily. But the Israeli side, having been staunchly against any stoppage to fighting has denied any such agreement has taken place. Hamas-run health ministry has said that the death toll in Gaza Strip has crossed the 11,000 mark.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday (Nov 10) vowed to improve the lives of Israeli communities near the border with the Gaza Strip.

"There is a very great determination of them (Israeli communities near Gazan border) and the government to return (the communities) even better than what was before (the October 7 attacks) restore, build, grow. First of all to restore security - to make sure that there is no Hamas and that Hamas does not return - but also to make sure that there will be a better life for them in the future," Prime Minister Netanyahu said.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said on Friday that health system in war-torn Gaza reached a point of no-return. In a statement, the ICRC called for medical facilities and workers in the Palestinian enclave to be protected. 

"Overstretched, running on thin supplies and increasingly unsafe, the healthcare system in Gaza has reached a point of no return," the statement said.

Lebanese militant group Hezbollah said on Friday that seven of its fighters were killed in Israeli fire on the road to Jerusalem. 

With this, the death toll of Hezbollah fighters killed has climbed to 68.

The head of the United Nations agency supporting Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) said on Friday that more than 100 of its staff had been killed in the conflict.

"UNRWA is mourning, Palestinians mourning, Israelis mourning. Ending this tragedy needs (a) humanitarian ceasefire now," agency head Philippe Lazzarini said in a post on X.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with the heads of the communities around the Gaza Strip and held a minute of silence on Friday.

During the meeting the Israeli PM said, "there is a very great determination from us, from them and the government to return" there, but he said that "first of all to restore security - to make sure that there is no Hamas and that Hamas does not return - but also to make sure that there will be a strong life after."

One official of Palestinian Islamic Jihad on Friday (Nov 10) accused Israel of delaying the release of hostages from Gaza.

Mohamad al-Hindi, Deputy Secretary General of the Palestinian militant group Palestinian Islamic Jihad, said that it was willing to release two of the civilian hostages on medical and humanitarian grounds.

UN's Palestinian refugee agency said Friday (Nov 10) that more than 100 staff has been killed in one month of the Israel-Hamas war. "Devastated. Over 100 UNRWA colleagues were confirmed killed in one month. Parents, teachers, nurses, doctors, support staff," UNRWA head Philippe Lazzarini reportedly posted on X social media platform.

As many as 50 dead bodies arrived at the Gaza hospital in the aftermath of deadly Israeli strikes on a school, as per the director of Al-Shifa hospital, media reports claimed Friday (Nov 10). 

"About 50 martyrs were recovered from inside Al-Buraq school... in the Al-Nasr neighbourhood in Gaza after missile and artillery strikes that targeted the school this morning," hospital director Mohammad Abu Salmiya said.

As the Israel-Hamas war moved into its second month, the Gaza Health Ministry spokesperson Ashraf al-Qudra said Israel struck Al-Shifa Hospital buildings as many as five times since Thursday (Nov 9).

“They shelled the maternity department and the outpatient clinics building. One Palestinian was killed and several were wounded in the early morning attack," he added.

The health ministry in Hamas-run Gaza said Friday that 11,078 people have been killed in five weeks of Israeli military campaign targeting the militant group since October 7.

The death toll includes 4,506 children, a health ministry statement said, while 27,490 people have been wounded in the war, which erupted with deadly Hamas attacks on southern Israel.

A cargo plane carrying what Russia says is 25 tonnes of humanitarian aid is heading for Egypt to be delivered to the Gaza Strip, which is under near-total siege and relentless bombardment. Lebanon's Iran-backed Hezbollah said Friday that Israeli fire killed seven of its fighters, without specifying where or when they died as border tensions persist during the Israel-Hamas war.

The group named the seven fighters in a statement stating they were "martyred on the road to Jerusalem" -- the phrase Hezbollah uses to mourn members -- now numbering 68 -- killed since border clashes with Israel began last month.

The United Nations appealed for an end to the carnage taking place in Gaza amid military campaign of Israel.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that “far too many Palestinians have been killed, far too many have suffered these past weeks".

“Far too many Palestinians have been killed. Far too many have suffered these past weeks. We want to do everything possible to prevent harm to them and to maximize the assistance that gets to them," said Blinken, at a press availability in New Delhi.

“To that end, we'll be continuing to discuss with Israel the concrete steps to be taken to advance these objectives,” he added.

A World Health Organisation (WHO) spokesperson stated that al-Shifa Hospital is “coming under bombardment,” as it further stated that Gaza's 20 hospital are now not functioning at all.

WHO spokesperson Margaret, while speaking about the statement of Gaza health ministry on the Israeli strikes over the hospital, said, “I haven’t got the details on al-Shifa but we do know they are coming under bombardment."

As per reports, many Gazans have taken shelter in al-Shifa hospital. “This is the waiting area covered by corrugated metal sheet under which internally displaced persons were refuging,” the director of al-Shifa hospital Medhat Abbas had said, while speaking to CNN.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they have opened an evacuation corridor for a six-hours along Salah Al-Deen street to allow people to flee south from northern Gaza.

It stated that the corridor will be opened from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. local time (3amET to 9amET).

“The northern Gaza Strip area is deemed a fierce battlefield and time is running out to evacuate it. Join the hundreds of thousands who have complied with the calls and moved south in recent days,” said IDF spokesperson Avichay Adraee on X.

Russia on Friday stated that 25 tonnes of humanitarian aid was sent by them to Egypt which is set to be delivered to the Gaza Strip, which has been under complete siege. 

In the past month, around 500 aid trucks were given entry into the the territory from Egypt.

"A special aircraft of the Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered 25 tonnes of humanitarian aid to the Arab Republic of Egypt," stated Russia's emergency services, on social media. 

"The humanitarian cargo has already been handed over to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society. Further Russian aid will be sent to the residents of the Gaza Strip," it added, in the recent post.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that he welcomed the pause in ceasefire agreed by Israel amid its ongoing war with Hamas, but added that more needs to be done.

"I think some progress has been made," stated Blinken said, while speaking in New Delhi. "But I was also very clear that much more needs to be done in terms of protecting civilians and getting humanitarian assistance to them," he added.

Hamas-run press office in Gaza said that early on Friday (Nov 10), several strikes hit locations near Gaza hospitals, a claim which couldn't immediately be verified. 

Israel has accused Hamas hiding in hospitals and using the Al-Shifa Hospital complex as its main command centre, a claim Hamas has denied.

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that he told US state secretary Antony Blinken that the number of aid trucks entering Gaza should be increased to at least 500.

Erdogan said Blinken’s approach to the proposal – conveyed to him by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Ankara - was "positive."

The current number of aid trucks crossing into Gaza is "20 to 30 trucks".

Iran has issues a warning over the ongoing Israel-hamas war as it said that the scale of civilian suffering would inevitably lead to an expansion of the conflict. This comes after officials in Gaza reported Israeli air strikes on or near several hospitals in the Palestinian enclave. The comments were made by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.  

"Due to the expansion of the intensity of the war against Gaza's civilian residents, expansion of the scope of the war has become inevitable," Amir-Abdollahian told his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on Thursday night.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau condemned recent violence as unacceptable after shots were fired at two Jewish schools in Montreal overnight and clashes between students at a university in the same city late on Wednesday.

"I understand that people are so profoundly disturbed by what they see happening there," Trudeau told reporters in the Montreal area on Thursday. 

However, "violence, hate, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia and scenes such as the ones we saw in Concordia University or shots fired at Jewish schools overnight - all of that is unacceptable," he said.

Israel's military on social media platform X has announced that it struck an organisation in Syria that was behind a drone crash into a school in southern Israel a day earlier. 

However, it did not identify the organisation behind the drone.

"In response to a UAV (drone) from Syria that hit a school in Eilat, the IDF struck the organisation that carried out the attack," said the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

"We will respond to every aggression against Israel," they added.

Officials in Gaza said Israel has launched air strikes on or near at least three hospitals on Friday.

"The Israeli occupation launched simultaneous strikes on a number of hospitals during the past hours," said Ashraf Al-Qidra, spokesperson for the Gaza Ministry of Health, while talking to Al Jazeera.

Al Shifa, the hospital Israel had alleged was being used by Hamas to hide its command centres and tunnels, is one of the hospitals being attacked, reports Reuters.

An unusual statement from Mossad, Israel's spy agency has put a strain on ties between Brazil and Israel. After Brazil arrested two persons and slapped terrorism charges on them, Mossad publicly thanked Brazilian police and said, "given the backdrop of the war in Gaza," Hezbollah was attacking targets worldwide. Mossad also said that it helped Brazil.

The Brazilian operation was indeed against a suspected Hezbollah cell but Mossad's public statement hasn't gone down well with Brazil.

"We appreciate appropriate international cooperation, but we reject any foreign authority that deems to direct Brazilian police bodies, or use our investigations for the use of propaganda or its political interests," said Brazilian Justice Minister Flavio Dino.

He has underlined that "Brazil is a sovereign country," and "no foreign force orders around the Brazilian Federal Police."

Police in Montreal, Canada have said that shots were fired at two Jewish schools. The incident has taken place as global community worries about fallout of the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. Just this week, a firebomb was hurled at a synagogue in Montreal and clashes had erupted betwee groups of students supporting Israel and Palestine at Concordia University.

Canada PM Justin Trudeau has already said that Canadians are scared on their own streets and has appealed for a pause in the war.
