<p>The group left in a Mercedes car after paying the bill at 1.40 am on Sunday.</p>

<h2><strong>Accused fled in auto-rickshaw</strong></h2>

<p>Mihir stepped out from the Mercedes car and was later driving his BMW car with his driver&nbsp;Rajendra Singh Bidawat&nbsp;in the passenger seat. The 24-year-old rammed his car into the bike, killing Kaveri and injuring her husband.</p>

<p>The India Today report said that the BMW was found abandoned&nbsp;in Kala Nagar in the Bandra East area. Citing the police, the report added that Mihir&nbsp;left his car in Bandra before fleeing in an auto-rickshaw.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile, his driver also&nbsp;took an auto-rickshaw and came to Borivali after the accident.</p>

<h2><strong>Case registered against accused</strong></h2>

<p>A case was registered against Mihir&nbsp;under various sections of the new criminal code, Bharatiya Nyaya Sahita.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On Sunday, his father and driver were taken into custody. Citing the police, the news agency ANI reported on Monday that Rajesh Shah had spoken to his son on the phone several times after the accident.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The police said that&nbsp;14 teams have been formed to nab the 24-year-old.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The accident took place at Worli on Sunday at 5.30 am local time when the bike was passing in front of Atria Mall. The police said that the car involved in the crash was a BMW, adding the driver fled from the spot post the accident.</p>

<p>"The accident happened when the couple from the fishing community was returning home after buying fish. The husband managed to jump off the speeding BMW's bonnet. The woman injured in the accident died during treatment," the police said.&nbsp;</p>
