A Texas local prosecutor will drop criminal charges against Lizelle Herrera, a 26-year-old woman who was detained for conducting a self-induced abortion, in a case that drew national interest and also prompted abortion rights supporters to take to the streets in her support, US News reported.

Sheriff’s deputies were right to arrest her, said Ramirez, since to overlook the situation would have been a failure of their duty. He also said that the district attorney has prosecution discretion and that his job is to “do justice.”

This decision once again sparked the debate over Texas abortion legislation which the US Supreme Court has also affirmed. It&nbsp;prohibits abortion beyond six weeks of pregnancy and does not even exempt women who are pregnant as a result of rape.

Robert Rock, a landscape architect with Living Futures in Chicago&nbsp;who led the design, has described&nbsp;this project as one of the most remarkable designs worldwide.

He said that unlike other bridges and under crosses which are mostly made of cement and steel, this crossing will have environmental-themed surroundings featuring&nbsp;native plants and vegetated walls on both sides, The Guardian reported.

Rock has put together a team of experts who are expected to help him execute this project. He said that this&nbsp;project, nearly a decade in the making, will be able to protect mountain lions from crossing the roads.

Almost 25 mountains lions have been killed since 2002 while crossing the freeways in Los Angeles, with the latest death being reported just a week ago when a young lion&nbsp;was struck and killed&nbsp;on the pacific coast highway.

It’s been six weeks since the Russian invasion started, and Ukraine since then has been repeatedly asking Western countries for equipments to help battle the invasion.

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, made another request on Thursday at the NATO headquarters for planes, armoured vehicles, air defence systems and land-based anti-ship missiles.

Responding to the request, NATO member Slovakia delivered its S-300 air defence system to Ukraine, confirmed Prime Minister Eduard Heger.

The announcement&nbsp;was made a day after the United States declared that more than 30 countries are sending military help to Kyiv.

"I would like to confirm that #Slovakia has provided #Ukraine with an air-defence system S-300. #Ukrainian nation is #bravely defending its sovereign country and us too. It is our duty to help, not to stay put and be ignorant to the loss of human lives under #Russia’s aggression," he tweeted on Friday.

He asserted that Slovakia’s defence system is secure&nbsp;and added that he would visit Kyiv on Friday.

The prime minister further said that Slovakia would be receiving additional equipments from NATO allies to make further donations.

The donation made by the NATO member&nbsp;is the first one to Ukraine ever since the invasion started in February. On March, Germany and Netherlands sent three batteries of Patriot air defence system to Slovakia which will replace the S-300.

Moreover, Slovakia's defence minister Jaroslav Nad said they would be receiving the fourth patriot from the US next week.

A Honduran judge&nbsp;on&nbsp;Friday authorized the&nbsp;extradition&nbsp;to the United States of former national police&nbsp;chief&nbsp;Juan Carlos Bonilla who is accused of running&nbsp;drug trafficking&nbsp;operations for former president Juan Orlando Hernandez.&nbsp;

A judge approved the&nbsp;extradition&nbsp;of Juan Carlos "Tiger" Bonilla in response to a request from US authorities, said Melvin Duarte, a spokesman for the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ).

Bonilla is alleged to have "participated in a conspiracy to import controlled substances into the United States (...) using or carrying weapons," he added.

Duarte said the defense has until Monday to appeal the decision.

Bonilla was captured&nbsp;on&nbsp;March 9 north of the capital Tegucigalpa.&nbsp;

Bonilla, who was&nbsp;chief&nbsp;of police from 2012 to 2013, had been named as a "co-conspirator" during the US&nbsp;drug trafficking&nbsp;trial of Tony Hernandez, the brother of former Honduran president Juan Orlando Hernandez.

The ex-president's brother, a former Honduran congressman, was given a life sentence in the United States last year.
