Pakistan Meteorological Department issued a fresh warning of heatwave in Karachi as the mercury to heat the maximum temerature, media reports said.

The warning has been issued for three-days starting from Tuesday to Thursday.

The intensity of the heatwaves would stay between moderate to severe, chinese news agency Xinhuanet reported.

According to the media reports, the temperature would remain between 40 to 44 degress celsius.

Citizens of the city are also advised to stay indoors and to avoid diirect sunlight to prevent the heatwave related issues like sun stroke and dehydration.

The provincial government has assured residents that there would be no repeat of 2015 and was working on ensuring those in need of care receive rapid treatment.

PMD issues fresh heatwave warning for three days in Karachi

No respite for Delhiites from scorching heat as the temperature continued to soar on Monday at 44.2 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was recorded at 26.3 degree Celsius.&nbsp;

The maximum temperature was recorded at 43.5 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average, while the minimum settled in at 27.2 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year, said a Meteorological Department official.

The humidity level has been swinging between 60 and 19 per cent, the official added.

"The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 43 and 28 degrees Celsius respectively," the official said.

According to the MeT department, there is a possibility of overcast skies, along with the possibility of a dust storm and thunderstorm tomorrow evening.

The Meteorological Department had warned of heatwave conditions in North India last week.

On Saturday, along with Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh, &nbsp;Karauli in Rajasthan and other areas like Sawai Madhavpur, Barmer, Churu, Pokharan, Jaisalmer and Tonk recorded the highest temperature of the season as the mercury hit 47 degrees Celsius.&nbsp;

The IMD warned that the highest temperature could reach 48 degrees.

Khajuraho was the hottest at 47 degree Celsius while Damoh recorded 46.5, Shajapur was at 47.0 and Gwalior at 46.6.

Bollywood celebs head out for a summer vacation

Delhiites witnessed the hottest day of the season on Wednesday, with the maximum temperature settling at 40.6 degrees Celsius.&nbsp

Palam weather station recorded a maximum of 40.6 degrees Celsius, the hottest in the city.&nbsp

Safdarjung recorded 38.6 degrees. Both were the highest recorded March temperatures at the respective stations since 2010.&nbsp

The readings were as much as eight degrees above normal at Palam and seven at Safdarjung.&nbsp

The lowest was registered by Mungeshpur village near Bawana in northwest Delhi at 37 degrees Celsius.

The weather was dry with a clear sky and no rains. While Tuesday saw a maximum temperature of 38.8 degrees Celsius, the IMD (India Meteorological Department) forecast a maximum of 37 degrees Celsius for Thursday.

Elsewhere in India, Ahmedabad in Gujarat recorded a maximum temperature of 40.4 degrees Celsius, Akola in Maharashtra 41.6 degrees Celsius, Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh 38.5 degrees Celsius, Kolkata 35.2 degrees Celsius and Kozhikode in Kerala 36.2 degrees Celsius.

These maximum temperatures are expected to follow a similar trend with minor fluctuations only.

Mumbai experienced its hottest day yet in March on Sunday with temperature rising by 4.7 degree Celsius from Saturday recording it at 37.8.&nbsp;

As per IMD-Mumbai, this was so far the hottest day in March this summer adding that Sunday&#39;s temperature was 6&nbsp;degree Celsius above normal. However, humidity levels were extremely low, leading to hot but dry conditions.

The weather station at Santacruz recorded 37.8 degrees Celsius, 5.7 degrees Celsius above normal, and Colaba recorded 34.8 degrees Celsius, 4.1 degrees Celsius above normal. On Saturday, Santacruz and Colaba had recorded 33.1 degrees Celsius and 30.3 degrees Celsius, which were much closer to the normal mark.

Officials have also informed that the weather is said to continue in similar conditions in future with some fluctuations.

The humidity level during the day on Sunday was 85% at Colaba and 77% at Santacruz but by evening levels dropped to 65% at Colaba and just 15% at Santacruz.&nbsp;

Night temperatures were close to the normal mark at the suburbs as Santacruz recorded 20.8 degrees Celsius but it was 1.6 degrees Celsius above normal at Colaba at 23.5 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, Skymet, a private weather forecasting portal, predicted Mumbaikars can prepare to witness some light rains next week.&nbsp; Rainfall is expected only in the south Konkan region on the first day, followed by two days of isolated rainfall in most parts of Maharashtra.&nbsp;&nbsp;
