<p>British pop star Rita Ora apologised on Monday after she admitted she had attended a party to celebrate her 30th birthday which broke England’s strict COVID-19 lockdown laws.</p>

<p>Ora said she had gone to a “small gathering with some friends” which the Sun newspaper said was held at a restaurant in west London on Saturday night with 30 people in attendance.</p>

<p>Under the lockdown rules, people in England are not allowed to mix with other households indoors and can meet one person outside. Restaurants have been closed except for takewaways to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.</p>

<p>“It was a spur of the moment decision made with the misguided view that we were coming out of lockdown and this would be OK,” Ora said in a statement on Instagram Stories.</p>

<p>“I’m deeply sorry for breaking the rules and in turn understand that this puts people at risk. This was a serious and inexcusable error of judgment. Given the restrictions, I realise how irresponsible these actions were and I take full responsibility.”</p>

<p>Police said officers had been called to reports of breach of COVID rules but had not found any offence being committed.</p>

<p>“Officers continue to assess the allegations and are liaising with the local authority regarding a potential breach of regulations at the premises,” police said in a statement.</p>

<p>The BBC reported that Ora was voluntarily paying a fine.</p>

<p>Hollywood star Doris Day who died on Monday at the age of 97, will not be receiving a funeral.</p>

<p>Day's manager made it clear stating that she&nbsp;mentioned this in her will.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"No funeral, no memorial and no (grave) marker," Bob Bashara told People.</p>

<p>"She didn't like death, and she couldn't be with her animals if they had to be put down. She had difficulty accepting death," added Bashara.</p>

<p>Recalling her conversation with Day about her dogs post her death, Bashara said, "I'd say we need to provide for her dogs [after she died], and she'd say, 'I don't want to think about it' and she said,&nbsp;''Well, you just take care of them."</p>

<p>"I think it was because she was a very shy person."</p>

<p>Bob also added that Doris never liked to talk about any kind of funeral or a memorial.</p>

<p>Naran performed some of the items live at the annual United Hanuman Chalisa held in Lenasia, the sprawling Indian township south of Johannesburg, on Sunday, where bhajan groups from all over the country rotated in 20-minute sessions for over 12 hours non-stop to chant the devotional prayer.</p>

<p>The Hanuman Chalisa is a 40-verse devotional composition by Goswami Tulsidas, better known as the author of the mythological epic Ramcharitmanas, in praise of Lord Hanuman.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We decided to put together this CD in different versions of the Hanuman Chalisa so that it would find appeal to different age groups," Naran told PTI.</p>

<p>"There are traditional versions that will appeal more to the elderly group, and then there are more modernised music versions for the younger group, using electronic music as background.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"The words, of course, stay exactly the same, but the renditions are in different tunes," singer added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Naran, who has won a number of local song contests and has performed internationally, trained in Indian classical music as a child with her sister Jagruthi in the US, while their father Jagdish was working there for four years.</p>

<p>On the family's return to South Africa, the sisters and Naran, in particular, further their musical interests, with Naran concentrating on vocals and Jagruthi on music composition.</p>

<p>Jagdish assists with technical studio recordings.</p>

<p>The family also ran musical lessons online for a few years.</p>

<p>American R&amp;B star R Kelly is facing major flak from all quarters ever since a six-hour documentary series titled ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ aired this weekend that revisits accusations of criminal misconduct including having sex with several minors.</p>

<p>The docu-series premiered on Thursday on the Lifetime cable network with subsequent episodes airing every other day. It has now led to a criminal investigation being opened in the state of Georgia.</p>

<p>The docu-series also features singer John Legend who was seen along with the survivors of the alleged assault. When John was appreciated for his effort, John tweeted: "To everyone telling me how courageous I am for appearing in the doc, it didn't feel risky at all. I believe these women and don't give a fuck about protecting a serial child rapist."&nbsp;</p>

<p>He added: "Easy decision. These survivors deserved to be lifted up and heard. I hope it gets them closer to some kind of justice."</p>

<p>The ‘I believe I can fly’ singer-producer was first charged in 2002 for filming sex acts between him and a 14-year-old girl. He was acquitted in 2008 for the same but the issue has now picked up after interviews of the alleged victims have gone viral in the docu-series.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the documentary, women portray the singer as manipulative, violent and focused on young girls, allegedly demanding they call him "daddy."</p>
