<p>Manchester City chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak has broken silence on the 115&nbsp;charges levelled against the club for breaches of financial fair play (FFP) rules. The new interview&nbsp;has aired less than 24 hours after City sued the Premier League&nbsp;alleging "discrimination" related to the Associated Party Transaction (APT) rules.</p>

<p>While City deny all the charges against them, the success that manager Pep Guardiola has achieved on the field has been smeared with a little asterisk next to it.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Of course it's frustrating, the references to [the charges] are always frustrating... having it being talked about the way it's been talked about," Khaldoon told City's internal media team.</p>

<p>"I can feel, of course, for our fanbase, for everyone associated with the club, to have these charges constantly referenced," he added.</p>

<p>"I think we as a club have to respect that there is a process that we have to go through, and we’re going through it. It’s taking longer than what anyone hoped for, but it is what it is, and I’ve always repeated, let’s be judged by the facts, and not by claims and counterclaims,"&nbsp;Khaldoon further said.</p>

<p>As WION understands, Khaldoon gave the interview before City went to war with Premier League over the legality of APT rules. A hearing is set for 10-21 June to determine whether sponsorship deals are financially fair.&nbsp;</p>

<p>City have argued that an independent commission should not evaluate the sponsorship deals. If the club is successful in the case, it would mean that City, owned by UAE's vice president, could pump as much money into it using companies from the Gulf, already connected with the royal family.&nbsp;</p>
