<p>A luxury restaurant in London owned by the Turkish butcher Nusret Gokce, who is known as "Salt Bae", became the target of a group of eight climate activists protesting against meat-based foods.</p>

<p>A video that went viral on Twitter showed members of Animal Rebellion, an animal and climate justice movement, being thrown out of the Nusr-Et steakhouse by the staff. It was shared by the rights group.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to reports, the protesters occupied tables reserved for customers on Sunday at 6 pm, holding “mock menus” which had the group’s core demands categorised as a starter, main, and desert.</p>

<p>It comes weeks after a similar stunt at Gordon Ramsay's three-star Michelin restaurant in Chelsea.</p>

<p>In a statement, the group said that it is calling for "a plant-based food system and mass rewilding".</p>

<p>“Supporters of Animal Rebellion are getting dragged out by security at&nbsp;@nusr_et ‘s restaurant in London!” Animal Rebellion tweeted.</p>

<p>“The restaurant is famed for its steaks – products of environmental destruction and worker and animal exploitation. This is not a sustainable food system,” they posted with the hashtag #PlantBasedFuture.</p>

<p>One of the protesters, Ben Thomas, 20, a student, was quoted as saying, “Restaurants like these are symbolic of a broken system.”</p>

<p>“Whilst two million people are relying on food banks in the UK right now, influencer chefs are selling gold-plated steaks for more than £1,000. Steaks, and other red meats, that we know carry the highest environmental impacts.”</p>

<p>The Metropolitan Police were called in at the site, but the protesters had already left the restaurant.</p>

<p>The Turkish chef, who is known for his extravagant method to sprinkle salt at the stake, set up the restaurant in London last year.</p>

<p>Former employees of Manhattan steakhouse, which is owned by Nusret Gokce - better known as 'Salt Bae', have filed lawsuits against popular Turkish chef over workplace discrimination.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Two ex-employees, Angelo Maher and Elizabeth Cruz, have each filed $500,000 lawsuits claiming that they were treated poorly because they're not Turkish.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Maher, who is Peruvian, started working there in 2017 reportedly as a waiter. He levelled a series of allegations against the restaurateur. On the other hand, Cruz, whose family background is Dominican was hired in April 2019. She said she was 'sexualized'.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The New York Post reported that the lawsuits were filed against the chef's company last week in Manhattan Supreme Court. As per the court documents, Maher made several allegations from the&nbsp;experience when he was working there.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The court documents revealed Maher's side, including discrepancies in tips, he was treated differently than other Turkish workers, he was made to lie when customers asked whether the steakhouse's meat was Halal, he also claimed that he had to pay out of pocket to cover his mistakes on guests' orders.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On the other hand, Cruz said she was asked to go home and change into "a short skirt, high-heels and a revealing top" when came to work in uniform, as per the filed document.&nbsp;</p>

<p>But a noodle seller in Vietnam was called in by police on Tuesday for a parody video. Trying to look cool can't surely be a crime? So here's the story</p>

<p>Bui Tuan Lam, a 38-year-old noodle seller from the city of Danang was called by police.</p>

<p>All he had done was to make a video of himself just like Sat Bae. Only difference? He was adding green onion calling himself "Green Onion Bae".</p>

<p>No problem there but images of him having gold leaf encrusted steak did rounds on social media. This steak costs USD 1960. A public office bearer having such an expensive dish was cause of surprise.</p>

<p>Then came Bui Tuan Lam's video with green onions. Was it seen to be mocking the minister himself?</p>

<p>"The video I made was for fun and for advertising my beef noodle shop. More customers have been coming since I posted it," said Lam, who added it was not clear if the police summons was because of his video.</p>

<p>Police in Vietnam routinely summon activists and people publicly critical of the ruling Communist Party for questioning.&nbsp;</p>

''Opened at the heart of the world 23.09.2021," he wrote in the caption. The pictures and videos excited the fans with an&nbsp;inside view of the eater, with Salt Bae cutting meat and sprinkling salt on it in his trademark style.</p>

<p>However, the new outlet was called out by Twitter users for its&nbsp;whooping menu prices.</p>
