The foreign minister said PM Pravind Jugnauth will participate in the ceremonies locally. FM Maneesh also spoke about the anti-India campaign in Maldives.

Sidhant Sibal: How do you see the Ram Mandir inauguration?

Maneesh Gobin: It is an international global event, definitely. It confirms the belief of many people around the world that we are living in the age of truce. That truce is coming back. Age of truce, this is really happening.

Maneesh Gobin: Oh yeah, in Mauritius, there is already a hype. It began December and nowadays, it is like a build up. Here we are calling it 2024 double Diwali. This is a Diwali in January, and then there is of course the regular Diwali later in year. Year 2024 will see double Diwali.

Maneesh Gobin: I am unable to confirm about PM right now. But he most likely will. As far as I am concerned, unfortunately, I will have to be in Geneva, because the universal periodic review of Mauritius is to take place. I will be on my way, but even there in my heart, it will be Jai Shri Ram. (Mann mein Jai Sri Ram hoga).

Sidhant Sibal: How does the cultural link connect Mauritius and India when it comes to the Ram temple inauguration?

Maneesh Gobin: &nbsp;We already have a super special Maritius-India relation, that is beyond any doubt. But for the Ram Mandir, maybe we should highlight individual citizens of Mauritius who have sent contributions for the Ram Mandir construction. Even the smallest contribution is significant, because had it not been for Indian immigration, we would not even have Mauritius. Mauritius was built on the strength of the labour of Indian immigrants. When the Ram Mandir construction started, citizens of Mauritius, on their own, contributed financially. Govt did not, but individuals, associations, mandirs have sent modest contributions, but it has been sent. So much build up, and the age of truce, and this is happening.&nbsp;

Sidhant Sibal: What do you think about situation with respect to Maldives?

Maneesh Gobin: I am quite worried, it is unfortunate that they have adopted this anti-India campaign. Even we have issue with Mauritius on de-limitation of the maritime zone. I would appeal to Maldives authorities to reason things out well, before taking any decision.

"She left for Ayodhya on Monday night aboard Ganga-Sutlej Express from Dhanbad Railway Station. She will break her silence on January 22," Hare Ram said further.

In Ayodhya, she is popularly known as “Mauni Mata” or silenced mother. She used to communicate with people through either sign language or writing down on paper.&nbsp;

Till 2020, she used to take only one hour of break from her vow every day, mostly at noon time. But after Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation for the temple in August 2020, she went on complete 24-hour silence for the rest of the days.&nbsp;

A mother of eight children, Devi devoted her life to Lord Ram after the death of her husband Devkinandan Agarwal in 1986. She spent most of her time on pilgrimages, said family members and neighbours.

In 2001, Devi did “tapasya” or penance for seven months at Madhya Pradesh’s Chitrakoot, which is a pivotal site of Lord Ram’s 14-year-long exile.&nbsp;

For her neighbours, family members and people of Ayodhya, she is an inspiration and a true epitome of unconditional devotion and affection to Lord Ram.&nbsp;

The governments of Chhattisgarh and Assam have also decided to mark January 22 as a dry day. Lord Ram's sacred seating in the temple is scheduled to be held between 12:15 pm to 12:45 pm on January 22, 2024, which will coincide with the Mrigasira Nakshatra. 
 
According to Indian news agency ANI, India's ruling Bharatiya Janta Party announced that it has planned to live telecast the temple's consecration ceremony at booth levels across the entire nation. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also set to address the country on the occasion.
