It was proposed to revive the mechanism of Joint Judicial Committee and that a team of Indian medical experts could be allowed to visit the mentally unsound prisoners. Pakistan responded positively on 7 March 2018.&nbsp;

Pakistan's former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who is serving seven-year imprisonment in a Lahore jail, was rushed to a hospital on Tuesday after he complained of heart-related complications.

Sharif, 69, was taken to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) Lahore from Kot Lakhpat Jail in high security.

Wearing off-white shalwar qameez and blue waistcoat, Sharif chose not to respond the media queries on his arrival at the hospital.

Doctors conducted his various tests including TROP-I, Echocardiography and Stress Thallium Scan.

"My father is not well. I wanted to go to the PIC but my father stopped me to come because of security issues," Sharif's daughter Maryam Nawaz said.

"The authorities concerned have not yet provided with us the reports of the special medical board that earlier had examined Mian Sahib. After pleading with the jail authorities, we have also written to the Punjab Home department for the reports but to no avail," she said.

A special medical board that examined Sharif in jail last week observed "he is not completely well" as more investigations (tests) are required before suggesting treatment for him.

According to the report of the special medical board, "Patient Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, 69, examined by the special medical board is a known case of Diabetes Mellitus and hypertension for the last 10 years. He is also known case of Ischemic heart disease since 2001."

It says "vague symptoms of pain in Sharif's both arms particularly at night and numbness of toes. He can walk 45 minutes without any significant symptoms.

He denied of any symptoms of dizziness, pre-syncope or syncope. His haemodynamics were also within normal limits. He is on dual antiplatelets, beta blocker, amlodipine, ARB'S and stains with anti-diabetic treatment."

Sharif underwent Coronary Angioplasty (PCI) twice in 2001 and 2017. He also had open heart surgery twice in 2011 and 2016 (no medical record/documents are available for these above-said procedures at the time of examination), it says.

The board says after evaluating these test reports and the availability of previous cardiac medical record further management plan will proceed.

Hamid`s mother further appealed to the Pakistani government to free other individuals like her son who have been imprisoned, underscoring the painful experience the family went through due to his detention in the neighbouring country. "Their parents are also waiting for them and suffering," she stated.

Expressing gratitude to the government and media for helping her out, she said, "This wasn`t our effort alone - the media was our voice and the government completely helped us. We can't thank god enough. Both the governments have been kind to us and dealt with us humanely. We thank everybody."Hamid will be with us today hopefully. I pray to God that he will be," she remarked while travelling on a bus en route to Attari-Wagah border, through which Hamid would be repatriated.

“We received an inquiry to verify Jugraj Bheel’s nationality,” Bundi district superintendent of police Yogesh Yadav said.

“The youth is in a Pakistani jail. We have found his family members in Rampuria village, falling in Dabi police station area,” he added.

Police said the villager’s 60-year-old father Bhairon Bheel has confirmed his identity.

“His family members have said that Jugraj was mentally disturbed but they do not know how he strayed into Pakistan,” Yadav said.

The Bundi district police received a report from the Rajasthan police headquarter last month seeking information about Jugraj Bheel.

A fortnight ago, an inquiry into the case of 68-year-old Gajanand Sharma had also revealed that he was lodged in Pakistan jail.

He had gone missing 36 years ago from his home in the Jaipur’s Brahampuri area. A police investigation confirmed his nationality and traced his family members.

His wife, Makhani Devi, 70, and her two sons were stunned earlier this month when a policeman approached them for verification of nationality of Gajananad, who was traced to a Pakistan jail.

BJP in-charge for party affairs in Rajasthan, Avinash Rai Khanna, and Jaipur MP Ramcharan Bohra met Sharma’s family on June 2 and assured all possible help for his safe return from Pakistan.
