<p>Kohli came to the crease after Indian captain Rohit Sharma provided a glorious 71-run start and departed in the ninth over. From thereon, Kohli took the matters in his own hands and smashed his first ODI century in a World Cup knockout game. Kohli's marathon innings ended on 117 when Devon Conway&nbsp;grabbed a smart catch on the square leg boundary after Tim Southee bowled a slower one.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Kohli had the rub of luck going his way&nbsp;as well. Opposition skipper Litton Das dropped him twice during the innings. The first instance came in the seventh over when Das dropped a sitter at short midwicket off the bowling of Mehidy Hasan Miraz.</p>
