The Seoul Peace Prize Cultural Foundation had announced in October of 2018 the decision to award Prime Minister Modi with the Seoul Peace Prize for 2018 in recognition of his dedication to international cooperation, global growth and human development. Previous recipients of the award include German Chancellor Angela Merkel and United Nation chiefs like Ban Ki-moon and Kofi Annan.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Modi is on a two-day visit to South Korea from Thursday.</p>

Both sides have also fast-tracked the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA)</p>

<p>He said, "The fundamentals of our economy are sound. No other large economy in the world is growing at over 7 per cent year after year" and "Hard policy decisions such as the introduction of Goods and Services Tax have been taken."</p>

<p>On Friday, Modi will meet South Korean President Moon Jae-in at the Blue House, official residence of the South Korean president. &nbsp;</p>
