Season two of the show will be premiering on OTT platform Netflix on July 29 and a lot of prominent celebrities will appear in cameo roles in the show including the late musician.&nbsp;<br />

Season two of the show will be premiering on OTT platform Netflix on July 29 and a lot of prominent celebrities will appear in cameo roles in the show including the late musician. The show that features Masaba Gupta and her mother Neena Gupta in the lead will feature Bappi Lahiri in a special episode. Masaba Gupta took to her Instagram story recently to share a still from the series that features Bappi Lahiri and her mother Neena Gupta. She wrote, "This season of the show has some very, very special cameos. But this one by Bappi Da will be the most memorable #Masabamasaba". Directed by Sonam Nair and produced by Viniyard Films, Season 2 will also feature Neil Bhoopalam, Rytasha Rathore, Kusha Kapila, Kareema Barry, Barkha Singh, and Armaan Khera. A lot has been written about this talented mother-daughter duo. A lot is known, so for creator Sonam Nair who also has written the show, it may have been difficult to adapt the known incidents into a series and make it engaging to watch. And the first two episodes of the series does not disappoint one bit.</p>

She has screen presence and is quite a natural in the scenes that demand her to be unintentionally funny. Together the two light up the screen and you want to know more about their lives, their struggles.</p>

While in some protion, the narrative seems to slip a bit- but the overall pace of the series is nice and breezy. It steers away from emotional drama but it still manages to drive home relevant points without being superflous. Subtle in its context yet entertaining because of its leading women- thats how an ideal new age web series should be. And 'Masaba Masaba' has ticked all the right boxes so far.<br />
