Arshad killed his family members in a hotel in Lucknow on Wednesday (Jan 1) and shot a video confessing the crime that he slit the wrists and throats of his mother and sisters. He even claimed that his father was also involved in the heinous crime.&nbsp;

The relatives of&nbsp; Arshad's mother Asma have demanded death penalty for him.&nbsp;
Asma's brother Mohammad Zeesghan told PTI, "I received a phone call from Lucknow that day. I spoke with Arshad. He said, 'Uncle I have killed the whole family,' after which the police took away the phone."&nbsp;
Zeeshan further added, "I last spoke to my sister almost four months ago. She was very simple and loving. I want Arshad to get the harshest punishment, he should be hanged."&nbsp;

A preliminary investigation into the case said that Arshad took the action because of his domestic disputes. But in the video, he took after the murder, he claimed he killed the family because his neighbours harassed them.&nbsp;

He set it up to appear like a car accident and then continued to live his life as normal with Soni. Kondal Rao, SHO of Raghunathapalem Police Station of Khammam District said that Praveen got treated for minor injuries and went back to Hyderabad. He was arrested 48 days after the murders.&nbsp;

An investigation team visited the site of the crime and found that it wasn't a very serious accident. The car was searched and an empty syringe was discovered. It was sent to the forensic laboratory for further investigation and proved to be a crucial clue.

All this time, Praveen lived in a rented house with his girlfriend. Police said that he didn't show any remorse for his actions.&nbsp;

The forensic report of the syringe proved to be the final nail in the coffin and Praveen was arrested from the Attapur area of Hyderabad.&nbsp;

In Uttar&nbsp;Pradesh's&nbsp;Sitapur, a man brutally murdered his five family members before committing suicide. The incident unfolded on Saturday (May 11) in Palhapur village of Rampur Mathura in Sitapur, nearly 90 kilometres from Lucknow.

The accused, identified as 42-year-old Anurag Singh, first shot dead his 65-year-old mother Savitri.&nbsp;Then, he fatally attacked his 40-year-old&nbsp;wife&nbsp;Priyanka&nbsp;with&nbsp;a hammer.&nbsp;

The man then turned his attention towards his three children —Ashwini (12), Aarna (9) and Advik (6). He threw all of them off the roof of his house resulting in two more casualties while Advik sustained critical injuries. Later, Advik also died in hospital.

The man then shot himself dead.

As per media reports,&nbsp;the man was mentally challenged&nbsp;and a drug&nbsp;addict,&nbsp;who used to frequently argue with his family members as they wanted to send him to a de-addiction centre.

Before he went on a rampage on Saturday, the man&nbsp;is believed&nbsp;to have had an altercation with his family members.

When police reached the scene, they found Advik seriously injured and the dead bodies of five family members.

"Today, police received information from Palapur village that a mentally ill person, named Anurag Singh aged 45 years, has allegedly killed five people of his family before committing suicide. While investigating, police found that he killed his wife aged 40, his mother aged 65, and his three children who were 12, nine, and six years old. The police and the FSL team are investigating,”&nbsp;Sitapur SP Chakresh Mishra&nbsp;was quoted&nbsp;as saying&nbsp;by news agency PTI.

Police said that further investigation was underway.
