In a significant joint operation against terrorist support networks in south Kashmir, Kulgam Police, along with the Army’s 34 Rashtriya Rifles and 18 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), arrested an Over Ground Worker (OGW) from Mohammadpora village in Kulgam district on Thursday.&nbsp;According to officials, the joint security forces had launched a coordinated operation in the area following specific inputs regarding suspicious movement and possible terrorist-linked activities. The recovery prompted the immediate arrest of the suspect.The arrested individual has been identified as Aadil Hussain Lone, son of Mohd Sadiq Lone, a resident of Mohammadpora in Kulgam district.&nbsp;Officials stated that preliminary investigation suggests the accused was allegedly involved in providing logistical support and assistance to terror elements operating in the region. The recovered material has been seized for further forensic and investigative examination.&nbsp;Following the arrest, Kulgam Police registered a case under FIR No. 88/2026 at Police Station Kulgam under relevant sections of law. Authorities said that further investigation has been taken up to ascertain possible links, networks, and the intended use of the recovered explosives.

In a joint drive to ensure transparency and proper utilisation of public resources, Kulgam Police and Health Department officials today inspected staff and doctors’ lockers at multiple health facilities across the district.&nbsp;''In line with ongoing efforts to ensure transparency, accountability, and proper utilisation of hospital infrastructure, Kulgam Police, along with medical officers of the health department, today conducted checking of lockers used by doctors and staff in various health institutions across the district, ''said Jammu and Kashmir Police.&nbsp;The inspection drive was carried out to prevent any possible misuse of lockers for the storage of unauthorised items and to strengthen internal security measures within medical facilities.&nbsp;&nbsp;''During the checking, all racks and lockers were thoroughly examined, and staff were briefed to maintain proper records and ensure that the lockers are used strictly for official and legitimate purposes only, '' said Jammu and Kashmir Police.&nbsp;&nbsp;Kulgam Police has reiterated that such inspections will continue as part of routine vigilance to maintain a safe and secure environment in hospitals. &nbsp;
