The movie revolves around C. Sankaran Nair, an Indian barrister, who is asked by the Britishers to investigate the massacre. However, after finding out the truth about General Regunald Dyer. <p>Shot beautifully by Anshul Chobey with perfect production design by Subrata Chakraborty and Amit Ray, the look and feel of the film are just right, taking you right into the tough terrain of the North-West Frontier Province. The CGI is good, making the ambience and war scenes look realistic. The action stunts are well thought out, giving the actors, including Kumar, ample room to perform.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A war film can get a bit monotonous with constant battle scenes, which is why the screenplay plays an important role. Singh and Girish Kohli weave in an emotional tale with just the right amount of humour and poignancy which shows the human side of the war without indulging in too much jingoism. The film does not blame any community or religion as such, and instead only highlights the futility of war.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra took to Twitter on Monday to announce the release date of the film. The team recently wrapped up the final schedule in Jaipur.</p>

Kesari: Akshay Kumar, Parineeti Chopra share first look of the film, call it as an 'epic experience'

<p>The sets of Kesari caught fire on Tuesday. Constructed in Wai, Maharashtra, the film's set caught fire during the filming of an action sequence. The film stars Akshay Kumar who had already shot his portion for the day and left for Mumbai when the incident took place. No casualties were reported.&nbsp<br />

The amount of damage to set property is not certain right now neither has the actual cause of the blast - which led to the fire- been determined yet.&nbsp<br />
<br />
The film's last schedule was being shot at Wai. Reports suggest that the film crew had to wrap up the schedule earlier than its scheduled date due to the accident.&nbsp<br />

Kesari, also starring Parineeti Chopra, is based on the Battle of Saragarhi (1897), in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghans.<br />

Directed by Anurag Singh, who has in the past helmed films like <em>Dil Bole Hadippa</em> and <em>Jatt and Juliet</em>, the film is being produced by Karan Johar, Isha Ambani and Twinkle Khanna.&nbsp</p>
