Pakistani officials allegedly asked Jadhav&#39;s wife to remove her shoes while the family visited Islamabad to meet Jadhav.

The officials suspected her shoes to contain some metal object and later sent them for forensic testing.&nbsp;

The move was widely condemned and criticised by Indian officials.

The official press release gave a detailed account of incidents that violated the terms mutually agreed upon by both the countries.&nbsp;

The statement noted that Pakistani press&#39; multiple interactions with Jadhav&#39;s family members caused them harassment.

This is the first meeting between Jadhav and his family since his arrest on March 3 last year for alleged espionage.

Heavy security was deployed around Pakistan&#39;s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.&nbsp;

Pakistani media reports said Pakistan Rangers, anti-terrorism squads and sharpshooters on rooftops around the ministry had been deployed.

The reports added that apart from security and media personnel, no other traffic is being allowed into the area.&nbsp;

Jadhav&#39;s wife and mother had landed in Islamabad a little earlier.&nbsp;

They flew in from Mumbai via Dubai and will return to India this evening itself via Muscat, Oman. They will spend a total of <a href="http://www.wionews.com/india-news/jadhavs-family-to-return-immediately-after-meeting-him-27652" target="_blank">only seven hours</a> in Pakistan.&nbsp;

There are very few direct flights from India to Pakistan.&nbsp;

TV footage showed a convoy of seven cars escorting Jadhav&#39;s family into the city.&nbsp;

Jadhav&#39;s wife and mother first went to the Indian High Commission and then, after a while, made their way to the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.&nbsp;

Pakistan claims its security forces arrested Jadhav alias Hussein Mubarak Patel from its restive Balochistan province on March 3 last year after he reportedly entered from Iran.

India, however, maintains that Jadhav was kidnapped from Iran where he had business interests after retiring from the Indian Navy.&nbsp;

On December 20, Pakistan issued a&nbsp;visa to Jadhav&#39;s wife and mother to visit Islamabad to meet him.

Jadhav ex-Navy officer has been lodged in a Pakistani jail after authorities found him guilty of espionage in Balochistan. Highly placed sources in India&rsquo;s High Commission in Pakistan have confirmed India has taken up the issue of the missing Indian Sheikh Nabi with their Pakistani counterpart in Islamabad.&nbsp;

On Sunday, Pakistan had arrested an Indian national Sheikh Nabi over incomplete travel documents. Nabi was arrested from the F-8 sector in Pakistan&#39;s capital Islamabad.

Sources have confirmed to DNA that Sheikh Nabi was booked under the Foreigner&rsquo;s Act 1946 and was sent to 14-day of judicial custody.&nbsp;As per the Foreigners Act, 1946, if a person enters Pakistan illegally, he can be jailed for up to ten years and fined Rs 10,000 Pakistani rupees, or both.

Sources said that police in Islamabad have obtained a 14-day judicial remand. The complaint, in this case, was filed by ASI Zafarullah Khan.&nbsp;

The police argued that Sheikh Nabi was loitering in the F-8 area in Islamabad when the police confronted him and asked for this travel documents he failed to produce it.&nbsp;

Indian High Commission came to know of the event when Pakistani media reported the incident. It is then a formal letter from the High Commission was sent to the Pakistan&rsquo;s foreign ministry.

Pakistan has apprehended three suspected Indian spies in Pakistan&#39;s Kashmir on Saturday, days after another spy believed to be working for India&#39;s primary foreign intelligence agency was awarded a death sentence for espionage activities by a Pakistani military court.

The arrests come hours after India called off talks involving maritime security issues with Pakistan, in a further blow to the strained bilateral relations.

Indian media reports suggest three people allegedly working with India&#39;s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) were rounded up by the police in Rawalkot, Poonch district, for carrying out anti-state activities.

Mohammad Khalil, Imtiaz, and Rashid, all from Taroti village in Abbaspur -- a small town located near the de-facto border separating India and Pakistan -- were arrested for allegedly bombing a police station in Pakistan&#39;s Kashmir.

Pakistani officials said the trio was apparently targeting the &quot;China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)&quot; -- a $62 billion project undertaken by China to improve Pakistan&#39;s infrastructure.

The three men have been booked under the Anti-Terrorism Act and Explosives Act and will be produced before Pakistan&#39;s anti-terrorism court.

Pakistan said they were involved with three Indian army and RAW officers -- Major Ranjeet, Major Sultan and an unnamed officer, police told Pakistan-based Geo News.

Diplomatic brinkmanship over spy&#39;s death sentence

The India-Pakistan relations hit a new low when a Pakistani military court condemned a suspected Indian spy to death sentence for attempting to foment unrest in Pakistan&#39;s restive Balochistan province.

New Delhi reacted strongly to the verdict, calling the trial &quot;farcical&quot; and labeling the military court&#39;s injunction as &quot;premeditated murder&quot;.

While Pakistan maintain that Jadhav was given a fair trial and was subsequently found to have been a RAW asset, India say he was a former naval officer and had no links to the establishment anymore.

New Delhi also believe that Jadhav might have been abducted by Pakistan from Iran.

India has accused Pakistan of not getting consular access to Jadhav, despite having sent 14 such requests -- the most recent being on Friday.

But Pakistan hit back by saying that Jadhav carried two passports, one with a Hindu name and the other bearing a Muslim name.

Maritime security talks called off

Earlier on Saturday (April 15), India marked its protest against the verdict by suspending maritime talks with Pakistan.&nbsp;

A delegation from Pakistan&nbsp;led by its Maritime Security Agency (MSA) was to visit New Delhi April 16-19 to discuss issues related to the frequent arrests of fishermen transgressing maritime borders.

Unnamed sources in India&#39;s Coast Guard said the Ministry of Defence has not given clearance for the delegation&#39;s visit, according to Press Trust of India.
