Giving the Khans company were actor Sanjay Kapoor and his family along with Kolkata team's co-owner Jay Mehta- Juhi Chawla's husband. And while Kolkata team won the Sunday match, SRK's daughter, Suhana drew all the attention. Dressed in a white tee and blue denims, the young girl and her friend Shanaya Kapoor had the entire stadium's attention as they cheered for their team. <p>For Delhi, newly-appointed skipper Gautam Gambhir played some quality shots to score 55 runs for the team. Rishabh Pant (28) and all-rounder Morris (27) also contributed with their bats to put up a modest total of 166 runs.</p>

<p>Chasing it, KL Rahul opened for Punjab and shattered the Delhi's dreams of winning its first match. He scores 51 runs off 14 balls and reduced the pressure from middle order batsmen.&nbsp;For his splendid innings, he was given the player of the match award.</p>

<p>Karun Nair played a crucial knock of 50 runs of 33 balls in a pressure situation when Delhi was trying to make a comeback. His knock included 5 fours and 4 sixes.</p>

IPL 2018: Strengths and weaknesses of Delhi

<p>Mumbai scored 165 runs in the opener match of the eleventh edition of Indian Premier League 2018 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Saturday. Earlier, Chennai won the toss and opted to bowl first.</p>

<p>Batting first, Evin Lewis of Mumbai lost his wicket in the third over&nbsp;without scoring a single run, he became the 58th player in the history of IPL to went on the duck. Skipper Rohit Sharma scored 15 runs before losing his wicket to Shane Watson' delivery as&nbsp;ball hit&nbsp;the thick-top edge of his bat and went high to land&nbsp;in the safe hands of Ambati Rayudu.</p>

<p>Ishan Kisan pushed the run rate and found a determined ally in Surya Kumar Yadav, together they scored 83 runs for the team before losing their wickets.</p>

<p>"It feels great to be back home. I started my IPL journey here, excited to be back. I have played with everyone in the domestic circuit, so it's pretty easy to gel with them. It would have been great had I stayed till the end. We need some early wickets, intensity is going to be the key," said Surya Kumar Yadav.</p>

<p>The most crucial knock was played by Krunal Pandya as his 41 runs off 22 balls helped the team to set a decent target. Hardik Pandya also played fiercely and scored 22 important runs. He suffered a muscle stretch on the last ball of the first innings.</p>

<p>Bollywood stars are preparing to rock the stage of the opening ceremony India's mega cricket carnival, Indian Premier League (IPL), which is starting from today.</p>

<p>The nation is ready and waiting for the pulsating performances of superstars like Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Tamannaah Bhatia.</p>

<p>Tamannah Bhatia, who was part of the mega starrer movie <em>Baahubali</em>, will be performing on the songs like Kaara Atakaara, Sampige, Pinga, Swing Zara etc. A medley of Tamil, Telugu and Kannada songs.</p>

<p>According to some media reports, she has charged Rs 50 lakh for a 10-minute performance.</p>

<p>Earlier, Ranveer Singh was supposed to perform at the opening ceremony but he suffered a shoulder injury during a football match and doctors have advised him to not perform after doing multiple check-ups.</p>

<p>Team Delhi has roped in Liam Plunkett as the replacement of injured South African player Kagiso Rabada. England's pacer Plunkett was picked from registered available player pool (RAPP) list.</p>

<p>Delhi will play their first match on April 8, at Mohali against Punjab. Rabada was purchased at an amount of INR 4.2 cr and had the potential to add fire to the bowling squad but he has been ruled out due to injury. Now, Liam Plunkett will take in charge.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Plunkett has featured in 13 Tests, 65 One-day International, and 15 T20 Internationals for his national team.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It will be Liam Plunkett first IPL experience.</p>
