<p>"The dispute has been going on for the last few days…The incident took place at around 10:15pm (on Friday) when a group of 10 to 15 locals pelted stones at another group from the Eidgah," Jodhpur police commissioner Rajendra Singh said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He further said that as the tension escalated, the mob set a local shop ablaze and vandalised two cars, including a police van.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Two policemen were injured in stone-pelting.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Police Commissioner Rajendra Singh said two FIRs were filed based on complaints from both sides.</p>

Health ministry data showed at least 110 people died between March 1 and June 18 as northwest and eastern regions were battered by twice the usual number of heatwave days. The union government has directed federal and state institutions to ensure "immediate attention" to patients. Delhi, where water and power crises have exacerbated people's woes, has also asked hospitals to make more beds available. Weather department officials say the temperatures will hover at above-normal temperatures throughout June.</p>

<h2><strong>Madhya Pradesh, Delhi worst hit</strong></h2>

<p>Among all, the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh (MP) and capital Delhi were the worst hit by the heatwave spell. In MP alone, more than 5,200 such cases were reported. Rajasthan also saw 4,300 heat-related cases whereas at least 20 deaths have been reported from Delhi alone. Adjoining Noida has also reported 14 deaths so far.</p>
