<p>Jaishankar said, "In 1984 there was a hijacking", and continued explaining how as a young officer, he was part of the team tasked with handling the situation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The EAM further explained how he was part of the team tasked with handling the situation, adding that as a son, he faced the surreal situation of discovering that his father was one of the passengers on the hijacked flight.&nbsp;</p>

Young Indian men were promised jobs as security personnel or helpers in Russia, after which they were shipped out of India in December 2023. Sufiyan told Times of India, "We were treated like slaves. We were woken up at 6 am every day and made to work 15 hours straight - with no rest or sleep. The conditions were inhuman." They had to dig trenches and operate assault rifles. They were even trained to use Kalashnikovs such as the AK-12 and AK-74, hand grenades, and other explosives. <p>Amid the ongoing controversy over the mosque, the CM Yogi, while addressing a gathering at an event in UP's Gorakhpur, said, "Unfortunately, people call Gyanvapi a mosque, but it is actually 'Vishwanath' (Lord Shiva) himself".</p>

<h2><strong>The controversy&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>Some Hindu activists challenged that a temple existed earlier at the disputed Gyanvapi mosque site and was demolished in the 17th century following&nbsp;the orders of Muslim emperor Aurangzeb. The claim was, however, rejected by the Muslim side.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In February this year, a Varanasi court allowed Hindu devotees to worship inside the sealed basement of Gyanvapi mosque. According to the order, the devotees were allowed to offer prayers at 'Vyas Ka Tekhana', a prohibited area inside the mosque.&nbsp;</p>
