Bollywood actor Imran Khan has been very vocal about his mental health struggles, battling tough phases in his career and life. After a few years of hiatus, Khan is set to make a comeback on the big screen. The actor recently shared how his divorce from ex-wife Avantika Malik took a toll on his mental health. In his recent interview with Humans of Bombay, the actor discussed his depression symptoms, adding that after his divorce, he was the weakest—emotionally and physically. Kartik Aaryan on being labelled as an outsider, says he had fear that ‘any Friday may be my last’ “When I separated in 2019, I was at my weakest—emotionally and physically. I’d say, I would describe it as a husk of a human being. Brushing my teeth and taking a shower was a monumental ask. I didn’t know if I could do that. I couldn’t even get myself out of bed, I would stay in my pajamas, turn the doorbell off, lock the door and just vegetate,” he told the social media platform. Imran Khan talks about the depressive phase after his divorce, says it left him 'emotionally weak'

<p>The Pakistani government on Thursday (Jun 6) submitted details of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan's living conditions inside the prison, rebuffing his accusations of mistreatment by the authorities.</p>

<p>The submission by the government included photographs of the jail cell where Khan is being held along with a list of family and friends, lawyers and party members who have visited Khan since he was put behind bars in August 2023 on corruption charges.</p>

<p>The pictures reportedly showed a collection of books in the cell including Nelson Mandela's autobiography "Long Walk to Freedom", that were apparently indicated to underline how Khan was given permission to read whatever he wished to inside the jail.</p>

<p>The image released by the government also showed a bedroom with a study table, a chair, a single bed, a cooler, and a washbasin next to a washroom in the corner, with a flat TV screen hung on a wall. It shows shirts thrown on the back of the chair and trousers, pants and a towel hung on a wall.</p>

<p>One of the pictures showed a long walkway, describing it as an "exclusive gallery for walking, twice a day."&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Almost two years ago, an engineered vote of no confidence&nbsp;was moved&nbsp;against my government&nbsp;and&nbsp;a government cobbled together by the military establishment came into being," Khan wrote. "Since then, the military establishment, under the direct guidance of Gen Asim Munir, the chief of army staff, has tried every tactic to decimate my party’s presence from the political environment of Pakistan," he added.</p>

<p>"Pakistan’s general elections on&nbsp;Feb 8, 2024, showed the utter failure of their design," he wrote in The Telegraph.</p>

<p>Khan further said that the response of the state has been to unleash&nbsp;more oppression and violence not just against PTI workers but also against&nbsp;human rights defenders. The former prime minister highlighted that there has been a systematic attempt to destroy the independent functioning of Pakistan's judiciary at all levels.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He also talked about the ongoing economic crisis and an upsurge in terrorism in the country.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The PML-N&nbsp;&nbsp;struck a post-poll deal with the PPP and&nbsp;the smaller parties to gain power at the federal level.</p>

<p>The PTI has said that&nbsp;the powerful establishment had favoured PML-N&nbsp;and&nbsp;the election commission&nbsp;deliberately used a different form to declare the results to “steal the mandate” that belonged to it.</p>

<p>“We won 180 seats in the (February 8) elections.&nbsp; Our seats were given&nbsp;to other parties through Form 47,” PTI's&nbsp;Gohar Ali Khan told reporters. <p>A former Pakistani minister and a close aide of former PM Imran Khan has launched a legal fight against Islamabad after an acid attack left him “scarred for life” in the UK. The acid attack took place in November last year as Shahzad Akbar opened his door to a caller at his home in England’s Royston town. He was lucky enough&nbsp;to not&nbsp;lose his eyesight, something he owes to wearing glasses and slamming the door shut in time. Akbar has sought refuge in Britain after he led efforts to shore up his former boss at home, who&nbsp;was toppled&nbsp;from power two years ago.</p>

A former Pakistani minister and a close aide of former PM Imran Khan has launched a legal fight against Islamabad after an acid attack left him “scarred for life” in the UK.

A former Pakistani minister and a close aide of former PM Imran Khan has launched a legal fight against Islamabad after an acid attack left him “scarred for life” in the UK. The acid attack took place in November last year as Shahzad Akbar opened his door to a caller at his home in England’s Royston town. He was lucky enough to not lose his eyesight, something he owes to wearing glasses and slamming the door shut in time. Akbar has sought refuge in Britain after he led efforts to shore up his former boss at home, who was toppled from power two years ago. Shahzad Akbar alleges that Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI was behind the acid attack. He was rushed to hospital and treated for burns on his head and one arm. He was quoted by news agency The Independent as saying, “The physical wounds have healed. The psychological ones go deeper.” “They were trying to send me a message: that I am not safe. This time, they weren’t trying to kill me, but were making it clear they could,” he added.
