The decision was in making for some time now, and India's below par performance in FIFA qualifier was the final nail in coffin for Stimac's reign.

During his tenure, India played in 53 international matches, managing 19 wins, 14 draws and 20 losses. Stimac's term&nbsp;started with a 3-1 loss against Curacao in 2019 and ended with a 2-1 loss against Qatar around a week ago.

India didn't perform well at all this year, putting a question mark on Stimac's job. The first disappointment was AFC Asian Cup in Qatar where India lost three matches. The Men in Blue conceded six goals in those three games and score none.

In FIFA qualifiers, Stimac's team could gather only four points. The worrisome part was only two goals managed by the Indian team in those four games.

The area where almost 40,000 Dutch fans had gathered was subsequently cleared around 12:30 p.m. CET (6:30 am ET) before the security agencies shot the attacker.

Police said the man was also carrying an incendiary device, probably some kind of Molotov cocktail. The media reports said police used pepper spray against the attacker before deploying a firearm.&nbsp;

Manchester United part-owner, Jim Ratcliffe has held a meeting with former Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel as the club hopes to clarify its position on the next manager. The Red Devils are undecided about the future of Erik ten Hag who has made the decision difficult after winning the FA Cup with a depleted squad last month.

Ratcliffe, the British billionaire, owns a 28 per cent stake in United and reportedly met Tuchel in Monaco for face-to-face talks.&nbsp;

How far do you want to go?" Molango told the BBC. "Some of them said: 'I'm not having it, we might as well go on strike. Some said: 'What's the point? Yes, I'm a millionaire, but I don't even have time to spend the money'.

Demands on players have increased in recent years, as tournaments expanded and new competitions emerged, with players and managers criticising that the calendar demanded too many matches. "It was not even the union that said it, it was Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola. We have reached a point where we cannot rule out any action," Molango said.

Global players' union FIFPRO, along with the PFA and the World Leagues Association (WLA), have threatened to take legal action if FIFA continues in this direction.
