Now, Horner has also made heads turn by revealing that they have poached as many as 220 Mercedes HPP personnel. Notably, the number is massive as it is approximately 20 per cent of the overall workforce of the German team.&nbsp;

In a conversation with RacingNews365, Red Bull team principal Horner stated, "I &nbsp;think it's inevitable, I think the two [team bosses] involved, they talk a lot. And I'm not going to get sucked into a tit for tat. But I'd be more focused on Toto's own issues that he has, and I don't have any concern with the strength and depth [of Red Bull], there's always going to be movement between teams."

He further added, "I don't know how many people we've employed from McLaren this year, or how many people [RB] has employed, but from Mercedes, we've taken 220 people out of HPP into Red Bull Powertrains. So when we're talking of losing people, I'd be a bit more worried about the 220 people than one or two CVs."

Not only this, there have also been strong reports that indicate&nbsp;the senior technician team, including Pierre Wache, has committed to a long-term contract. Meanwhile, there have also been rumours&nbsp;that Jonathan Wheatley -- Horner's main man in recent times&nbsp;-- might be interested in moving out.&nbsp;

Wheatley's contract is up for renewal and he might&nbsp;be interested in taking on some other challenges. However, Horner didn't comment on the matter, saying, "I mean, there's rumours about everybody, but contracts between individuals, the terms and conditions, is not something that we really talk about to the public."

The race stewards were also clear on who to blame in the incident involving Sargeant and Magnussen and said: "It was clear that Car 20 did not have its front axle in that position such that it was entitled to room in that corner. Further, if this is looked at purely as an overtaking of the inside of Turn 3, Car 20 would also not have had the right to the corner, by the standards for an inside overtake."

"Even if this was viewed as a sequence of corners or a chicane, the decision remains the same. Per the guidelines, priority will be given to the first corner and if you do not have the right to be given room, then you do not get the benefit for the next corner."

Formula One: Mercedes announces a WHOPPING turnover for 2023 season

The 2025 Australian Grand Prix will be the Formula One season-opener for the first time in six years instead of Bahrain after the sport's governing body (FIA) released next year's calendar on Friday.

The 24-race season will commence on March 16 in Melbourne and end on Dec. 7 in Abu Dhabi as Formula One celebrates the 75th anniversary of its world championship.

The Bahrain Grand Prix has been the opening race of the season since 2021 while the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix has been the second race on the calendar since 2022.

Formula One did not race at Melbourne's Albert Park Circuit in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but will now host the opening race instead of the Middle Eastern kingdom due to the Muslim holy month of Ramadan falling in March next year.

The first European race will take place in Imola in May as part of a triple header which also includes Monaco and Spain in back-to-back weekends.

"We're grateful to the FIA, our promoters, host city partners, and all the related ASNs for their commitment and support in delivering this schedule and securing what promises to be another fantastic year for Formula 1," Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1, said in a statement.

"I read recently they're talking about an event before the Australian Open. That's going to open up a whole can of worms. So we'll see what develops," the 65-year-old McEnroe told Reuters in a video call from New York. "I'm not a big believer in having the tennis circuit go year round. We need an off season. Not only for players to recuperate but for fans to recuperate. And this is something we've always had difficulty with. "I think tennis has shot itself in the foot for too long."

"It depends on what people define that as. Is it going to be more money? Yes. Does that mean it's better? Not necessarily. It depends where that money is spent, where it goes," McEnroe said. "But even if it was, I don't think that means it's good automatically for the game because Saudi Arabia has a Masters 1000 event. That doesn't mean anything to me as far as whether it's a net positive or negative. "It harks back to people that have commitment to the game, a love for the game and have a real idea of what the future is."

That will be something the women's tour is considering as it mulls a move for the WTA Finals to Saudi Arabia despite push back from McEnroe's contemporaries Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert.

The two greats have argued that the WTA's values sit in stark contrast to Saudi Arabia, which has been accused of using the PIF to "sportswash" its human rights record.

Saudi Arabia denies accusations of human rights abuses and says it protects its national security through its laws. HUGE FUNDS Former world number one and seven-times Grand Slam winner McEnroe this week signed as a global ambassador for CFD broker Pepperstone, previously a platinum sponsor of the ATP Tour. McEnroe said Saudi Arabia would undoubtedly bring huge funds to a new Masters event but questioned if tennis would ultimately benefit from it. Does that mean it's better? Not necessarily. It depends where that money is spent, where it goes," McEnroe said. "But even if it was, I don't think that means it's good automatically for the game because Saudi Arabia has a Masters 1000 event. That doesn't mean anything to me as far as whether it's a net positive or negative. "It harks back to people that have commitment to the game, a love for the game and have a real idea of what the future is." That will be something the women's tour is considering as it mulls a move for the WTA Finals to Saudi Arabia despite push back from McEnroe's contemporaries Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert. The two greats have argued that the WTA's values sit in stark contrast to Saudi Arabia, which has been accused of using the PIF to "sportswash" its human rights record. Saudi Arabia denies accusations of human rights abuses and says it protects its national security through its laws. Another women's tennis great, Billie Jean King, believes the WTA will inevitably go to the Middle Eastern nation but thinks the tour can use the relationship to push for social change. McEnroe, though, remains sceptical. "Someone I've looked up to and think is the most influential human being on the face of the earth over the past 50 years for women's sports has endorsed this idea from what I've read," McEnroe said. "I love Billie Jean. I'd like to speak to her about why she thinks that's a good thing, because to me it's not. But I'm an outsider looking in ... It's like, 'why in the hell would the WTA play their event there, where there's human rights issues still going on today. "I've never been there. Apparently things have improved to some level, so it's not like I'm some sort of expert. When I read about it, I completely disagreed with it."
