<p>A Dior ad for its Sauvage fragrance, which stars Depp playing an electric guitar, was shown during an episode of 'The Great British Bake Off'&nbsp;that aired Tuesday in the UK.</p>

<p>A spokesperson for the Advertising Standards Authority, a body responsible for regulating&nbsp;ads in the UK, told The Guardian that after Depp's Dior ad was aired on Tuesday, it received 11 complaints from viewers that were all related to Depp's presence in the commercial.</p>

<p>"We have received a total of 11 complaints about this ad, with the complainants believing that Johnny Depp shouldn't be in the ad due to details concerning his recent court case," a spokesperson for the Advertising Standards Authority said.<br />

Depp has been the face of the French luxury brand's cologne since 2015 and has starred in a number of ad spots for the Dior fragrance line. <p>While the advertisement garnered criticism from some, fans of the actor took to Twitter&nbsp;to share a #JusticeForJohnnyDepp hashtag and applaud Dior for not appearing to drop the actor from the campaign.</p>

<p>Amid the outbreak of coronavirus, there has been a shortage of masks and safety gears for health workers worldwide. Several luxury companies like Chanel, Gucci have started manufacturing masks and now even Dior has joined that list.<br />

On Tuesday, Dior announced that it had reopened its Baby Dior workshop in France to help make masks as the country is facing a shortage of it. Dior joins other luxury brands like Burberry, Gucci and Channel who have transformed their factories into medical supply factories to aid in fighting the current crisis.<br />

<p>"You're really speaking about the human touch here, like in couture," Dior's creative chief Maria Grazia Chiuri said in an interview in Paris ahead of the show. The fabrics, found across West Africa and showcasing symbols that are sometimes used as a form of language, had inspired the collection, she added.</p>

<p>Designers Pathé Ouedraogo - or Pathe'O, from Burkina Faso, who is known for dressing Nelson Mandela - and Grace Wales Bonner, a British artist, also worked with Dior on pieces for the show, among other collaborators.</p>
