The passengers were stuck inside the flight for two horrific hours which they called a sweltering “sauna” plane before the authorities cancelled the flight entirely.

The incident took place on July 25 in a Boeing 777 after there was a malfunction in the air conditioning system on Thai Airways flight TG 917. The flight had to take off from London and was to land in Bangkok at 9:25 p.m., as reported by ViralPress.

Because of the malfunction, the passengers got stuck in what can be called a veritable steam room as the crew members made all efforts to solve the issue.&nbsp;

“People were stuck on the plane and couldn’t leave,” said 26-year-old Warawalan Maksaen, who is a student at the University of Exeter and was trapped along with the other passengers aboard the flight.&nbsp;

“We were hot and couldn’t breathe. At least in a sauna, you can leave when you want. This was like a form of torture," she said.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, another passenger said that the conditions inside the plane were sweltering because of which one passenger suffered a panic attack while others were sweating profusely.

Also, no food or water was provided to the passengers in those hours which made the matter worse, said Maksaen.&nbsp;

Water was given to the passengers by a flight attendant after two hours and the door was opened to let fresh air in.

Because no technicians were available the passengers were asked to deplane at 11 pm (local time) after needlessly unnecessarily remaining stuck in the hot aircraft.

After the passengers were deplaned, they were given two unenviable choices. “We could either sleep in the airport until the rescheduled flight or take a bus to find a hotel,” said Maksaen.&nbsp;

“Myself and a lot of the other passengers went to the bus station to wait for transportation to a hotel. There was no help from the airline, and the last group of passengers waited aimlessly until the last three buses arrived at 2 a.m.," she said.

However, there were only eight available rooms in the hotel of the airline. Because of this Maksaen, who was travelling alone, had to find her own lodgings.

“I was so disappointed by Thai Airways. Their service was appalling, and I sent a complaint email after the incident,” Maksaen said.&nbsp;

“I have received a compensation offer, either as cash or a discount voucher for my next flight, which I chose as cash because I do not want to fly with this airline again," she added.&nbsp;

Neely was later found unconscious and taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.&nbsp; His death sparked massive protests in the city, with many demanding strict punishment to the accused.

Penny’s attorneys in a statement on Friday said, "We fully expect that Danny will be exonerated of all charges."&nbsp;

Rahul, my second unit director, was my biggest conscious keeper. They would all say `it is becoming an Anurag Kashyap film`."

Right after that move, Sarita is dragged into a criminal world completely unknown to her.

Forest fires that blanketed Southeast Asia in thick haze last year released the greatest amount of climate-changing carbon since record blazes in 1997, producing emissions higher than in the whole of the European Union, scientists said on Tuesday. 
 
Singapore, Malaysia and northern Indonesia choked under a layer of toxic smog in September and October last year, caused by thousands of fires started in Indonesia to cheaply clear land for palm oil crops and for pulp and paper plantations. 
 
The fires and resulting haze, an annual occurrence, pushed up pollution levels, caused schools to close, flights to be disrupted and people to fall sick across the region. 
 
Last years blazes were the worst for years with El Nino, a warming of sea-surface temperatures in the Pacific, causing tinder-dry conditions. 
 
The study by scientists from the Netherlands, Britain and Indonesia, published in the online journal Scientific Reports recently, was the first scientific report calculating greenhouse gas emissions from the fires using measurements on the ground combined with satellite observations. 
 
&quot;There have been some isolated studies before where people artificially set fires in the lab to try to understand the chemical characteristics of peatland fire smoke in Indonesia,&quot; said Martin Wooster, one of the scientists and a professor of earth observation science at Kings College London. 
 
&quot;But no one had done this on natural fires, and especially not on the kind of extreme fires seen in 2015,&quot; he added. 
 
The researchers first measured the ground-level smoke composition from peatland burning in the region, including in Indonesias Central Kalimantan province, one of the worst-hit areas. 
 
They combined the data with satellite information to work out greenhouse gas emission estimates from the fires. They concluded that 884 million tonnes of carbon dioxide was emitted in the region last year, with 97 per cent originating from forest fires in Indonesia. 
 
The results showed that regional carbon dioxide emissions from the fires were 11.3 million tonnes per day in September and October 2015, more than the 28-nation EUs daily emissions of 8.9 million tonnes during the same period. 
 
The researchers also said the emissions were worse than during the 1997 fires, considered the worst on record.&nbsp;At that time, there was an even longer drought and widespread burning due to a stronger El Ni?o. 
 
The researchers said they hoped the findings would contribute to a better understanding on the need for fire prevention and improved ways of managing the land. 
 
&quot;What is important is the applicability of a study like this in helping policy makers to use more accurate fire emission factors to design policy and act to prevent further fires and greenhouse gas emissions,&quot; said scientist Daniel Murdiyarso from the Indonesia-based Center for International Forestry Research. 
 
The Indonesian fires have prompted criticism from green groups and other Southeast Asian nations, accusing Jakarta of not doing enough to crack down on the slash-and-burn forest clearing techniques. 
 
In a bid to tackle the issue, President Joko Widodo announced in April plans for a moratorium on new palm oil concessions and asked firms to raise yields on existing plantations instead of clearing forests.
