After an ACCI senior adviser to the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, Mohammad Dawood Musa was killed by a gunman at his home in the capital city of Afghanistan, Kabul, the organisation has expressed concern over what it says is an increasing trend in the killings of businessmen.

According to media reports Dawood died after being taken to hospital.&nbsp;Dawood’s relatives said that the gunman first took him out of the car and then a man shot him in the heart about a meter away, following which the perpetrators fled.&nbsp;

Expressing concern, the Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) in Afghanistan said that, “killings and kidnappings of businessmen have increased the country.”

While mentioning the raised concerns among the country’s businessmen, ACCI said that the Islamic emirate should pay serious attention to this matter.

As per the Chamber of Commerce and Investment&nbsp;that Musa played a key role in drafting the Afghanistan-Pakistan Investment Law, tax law and transit agreements.

ACCI also added that Mohammad Dawood Musa represented Mercedes-Benz in Afghanistan and played a key role in the growth of the country's private sector.

“I ask the Islamic Emirate to find the killer of Dawood Musa and bring him to justice,” said Khanjan Alokozai, a member of the board of the ACCI said in an interview with&nbsp;Tolo news.

“In the private sector, this is a huge loss. In the future, the Islamic Emirate must pay attention to protecting the lives and property of traders,” said Naqibullah Safi, chairman of the Afghanistan-Pakistan Joint Chamber of Commerce.

Another businessman in the construction sector was also injured by kidnappers on Sunday.

There were reports that the head of the federation Khwaja Mir Mujahid and his brother has been abducted by some unknown people in Kabul on Sunday.

"Power lifting federation officials say that Khawja Mir Mujahid, head of the federation has been disappeared since Sunday this week. Reportedly unknown gunmen abducted Mujahid and his brother from the PD-15 area in northern #Kabul city," a media report said.

The president of India's PHD Chamber of Commerce has said that the "reliability of China as a trade partner" is "questionable" even as visa issuance by the country remains an issue.

Travelling to China has not been possible for Indian nationals since last November as the Chinese side has suspended existing visas.

Sanjay Aggarwal, speaking to WION, said, "I think, for the Chinese government, this approach is not in their own interest. I think they are just proving the point when we talk of a nation, not trying to be dependent on China but then individual businessmen suffer the issue of actual trade getting various issues, payment issues, material stuck due to non-issue of visas."

Earlier this year in March, the Chinese embassy issued a notification that visas will be given to only those who have taken China-made vaccines, putting a barrier as no Chinese vaccines have been approved by the Indian government.

"The reliability of China as a trade partner itself is questionable. So I think, they are basically trying to either have an attitude that we have built up our economy enough by pretending to be very open&nbsp;to now a stage to punish whoever we wish to," Aggarwal explained&nbsp;adding, "If that is their line of thinking, so be it. It is not to their advantage. Indian businessmen may suffer in the short term for the individual issue but they will learn for future on their dependency."

This is the first such comment by any national chamber over trade with China and the risks involved amid China's continued presence at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh.

The letter which was sent by India's ministry of external affairs on December 10, 2 days after the event in Islamabad to SAARC Secretariat in Kathmandu says SCCI invited "a renegade entity from the area of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir which is under the illegal and forcible occupation of Pakistan".&nbsp;

The letter which WION exclusively accessed stated that such acts of SCCI, a SAARC apex body, is in violation of SAARC charter and principles that provides for respect for sovereign equality, territorial integrity, political independence, non-interference in internal affairs of the other states.&nbsp;

Further, the SCCI has breached the guidelines and obligations meant for the SAARC apex bodies by indulging in political activities, not in conformity with the spirit, purposes and principles of the SAARC Charter, the letter stated.

The letter ended with India requesting "the SAARC Secretariat to consider initiating steps for derecognition of SAARC chamber of commerce and Industry as the apex body of the organisation.&nbsp;

The SAARC Charter day event on December 8 is the same event from which Shubham Singh an Indian diplomat left due to the presence of PoK minister.

An email to SAARC Secretariat for his response in the issue remainded unanswered. &nbsp;The headquarters of SCCI is located in Islamabad.
