YG Entertainment, the agency of the K-pop band BLACKPINK, is planning to take legal action against those who are spreading fake rumours about one of the band members, Rose. The agency released a public statement reacting to all the online rumours resurfacing about the main vocalist of the band Rose's alleged drug abuse. 
 
Rebutting all the talks doing the rounds, the agency said in the statement: “It is revealed that the rumours related to BLACKPINK Rosé that is spreading in some online communities and social media are clearly false information.'' 
 
Further adding, the agency informed that they are planning to take legal action. 
 
The statement reads, ''We are taking legal action against acts that violate the human rights of and defame our agency artist. We are currently monitoring those who created and spread the rumours, and will take strong legal action in the future without any leniency or settlement.”

The rumours about Rose using drugs started spreading after a photo of her went viral. The picture was shared by Italian fashion designer Riccardo Tisci.

Following her diagnosis, on February 28, YG Entertainment&nbsp;released the statement and added&nbsp;the group's other three members--Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa--have all tested negative.

All her upcoming overseas activities have since been cancelled for now.&nbsp;

"Blackpink`s Rose took a PCR test before her (overseas) departure on February 28, and the results came back positive, leading to a cancellation of a part of her overseas activities. The other three members (Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa) tested negative, and no one, including Rose who was diagnosed with Covid-19, is exhibiting any particular symptoms," the statement read. 
 
Further, the statement revealed that all four members are completely vaccinated and urged fans to pray for her speedy recovery, "All four members of Blackpink have completed their Covid-19 vaccination, and we will prioritize the health of our artists and staff members and spare no effort (for their well-being). We would appreciate it if you could show support for Rose`s rapid recovery as well as the Blackpink's members who are active globally. We will provide an update if there are any changes in the future," it concluded.

Some Chinese local media and online commentators denounced the girl group for touching Fu Bao with bare hands and while wearing too much make-up, saying it threatened the health of the young cub. The comments set off a storm on Weibo, China’s version of Twitter.

As of Tuesday, there were millions of views and 55,000 posts on hashtag “Blackpink touched panda cub wrongly” on Weibo.

The full episode was to have been broadcast on Nov 7 and has been postponed, according to the group’s music label, YG Entertainment, although it defended the production.
