The cities of Pakistan on which the visa ban has been imposed by the UAE are Dera Ghazi Khan, Dera Ismail Khan, Kurram Agency, Khoshab, Para Chinar, Sheikhupura, Abbottabad, Kasur, Larkana, Muzaffargarh, Nawabshah, Quetta, Sargodha, Attock, Chakwal, Bajaur Agency, Hangu, Kohat, Mohmand Agency, Sukkur, Skardu, Hunza, Kotli and Sahiwal.

Earlier, the visa ban was imposed by the UAE on Pakistan's 12 cities. Later, the list was increased to 22 and then to 24.

The Pakistan Foreign Office, however, refuted reports of the ban being imposed by the UAE on Pakistanis.

As per statistics, headline inflation in Pakistan may have fallen below 10 per cent in the previous few months; food inflation continues to stay in double digits. 
 
It should be noted that Pakistan is among those countries, where more than half of the income of a house, is spent on food. With the increase in cost of petrol, electricity units, transport, coupled with indirect taxes, the low-income families have plunged into further poverty, hunger and malnutrition. 
 
As per estimations and statistics done by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics in 2019-20, the number of moderately to severely food-insecure households rose to at least 16.4 per 100 households, in comparison to at least 15.9 per 100 households the previous year. 
 
The above-mentioned statistics reflects the impact of job losses, income reduction and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mandated economic policies, aimed at stabilising the country`s financial management, as the survey was carried out before the outbreak of Covid-19. 
 
Moreover, with the outbreak of the pandemic, economic experts highlight that the miseries of the people have been compounded, as millions have gone out of work and have been plunged into poverty. 
 
Experts believe that with the new wave of the novel coronavirus, coupled with the higher global community inflation and the upward adjustments in domestic energy prices, will further worsen the existing dire situation of the masses. 
 
It has been maintained that the impact of the inflation will increase on food prices also as the global food prices have seen an at least 31 per cent higher in July than a year ago. 
 
The purchasing power of the lower-middle-class families has already been severely impacted by the food price inflation. In the coming days ahead, the inflation numbers are expected to rise further, forecasting reduction in purchasing power and loss of jobs.

On Sunday, Imran had been giving a speech at the Central Party School in Beijing. The speech was shown live on PTV (Pakistan Television Corporation).&nbsp;

Somebody however made a blooper and instead of writing "Beijing" — which is where Imran was — on the screen, that somebody wrote "Begging" (see pic below).&nbsp;

India booked its place in the final of the four-nation Intercontinental Cup with a 3-0 victory over Kenya at Mumbai on Monday.

The team which saw scant audience in their previous games was overwhelmed to see the packed stadium in their match against Kenya. &nbsp;

The credit goes to Sunil Chhetri's impassioned plea on his Twitter, urging people to come and cheer the team in the ongoing Intercontinental Cup in Mumbai.

However, coach Stephen Constantine, who is delighted with the figures, felt that the begging was one thing the team did not deserve.

"Look, I have said it before and I don't feel that we should be begging people to come and watch the national team. The response today was unbelievable, what I expect from the Blue Pilgrims and the rest of the people, it's not only the Blue Pilgrims."

"But the national team is playing in the manner, we've been playing for last three and half years, and the things that we have achieved in three and half years, (and) we still feel disappointed to see such a crowd in the last game," he added.

However, he was hopeful that the crowd will be present in the next two games also.&nbsp;

"Today I thank every single one of them and I expect them to be here for the following two games."&nbsp;

The coach further admitted that his side had been found wanting in the first-half.

The&nbsp;head coach also had a message for the Indian government with regards to the side’s participation in the Asian Games.

“If the government is listening, send us to the Asian games. We have 11 U-23 players and that is a U-23 tournament,” Constantine quipped.

After the game, the Blue Tigers walked up to the fans and acknowledged their presence, with the captain taking his players for a lap of honour as his proud family savoured the moment from the stands.

India booked its place in the final of the four-nation Intercontinental Cup with a 3-0 victory over Kenya at Mumbai on Monday. The team which saw scant audience in their previous games was overwhelmed to see the packed stadium in their match against Kenya. The credit goes to Sunil Chhetri's impassioned plea on his Twitter, urging people to come and cheer the team in the ongoing Intercontinental Cup in Mumbai. However, coach Stephen Constantine, who is delighted with the figures, felt that the begging was one thing the team did not deserve. "Look, I have said it before and I don't feel that we should be begging people to come and watch the national team. The response today was unbelievable, what I expect from the Blue Pilgrims and the rest of the people, it's not only the Blue Pilgrims." "But the national team is playing in the manner, we've been playing for last three and half years, and the things that we have achieved in three and half years, (and) we still feel disappointed to see such a crowd in the last game," he added. However, he was hopeful that the crowd will be present in the next two games also. "Today I thank every single one of them and I expect them to be here for the following two games." The coach further admitted that his side had been found wanting in the first-half. The head coach also had a message for the Indian government with regards to the side’s participation in the Asian Games. “If the government is listening, send us to the Asian games. We have 11 U-23 players and that is a U-23 tournament,” Constantine quipped. After the game, the Blue Tigers walked up to the fans and acknowledged their presence, with the captain taking his players for a lap of honour as his proud family savoured the moment from the stands.

The Jammu and Kashmir government has banned begging at public and religious places here and directed the police to arrest the offenders.

The order, issued by Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar, Syed Abid Rasheed Shah yesterday, said Srinagar being the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir holds a great importance in the socio-economic landscape of the state and so it is contingent upon the administration to take all measures necessary to make the district more citizen-friendly and to prevent public nuisance at all costs.&nbsp

"Begging being an offence under the Act (Jammu and Kashmir Prevention of Beggary Act I960), it is imperative that strict necessary action under law be initiated against the offenders," it stated.

The deputy commissioner said, "It has been observed that off late there is a proliferation of beggars on the streets of Srinagar which creates massive nuisance for the general public."

The order stated any person found soliciting alms in a public place, or in or about a mosque, temple or other place of public worship, whether or not under any pretence and entering on any private premises for the purpose of soliciting alms shall be immediately arrested under Section 4 of the Jammu and Kashmir Prevention of Beggary Act, 1960 read with Section 61 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, Svt 1989.

Those exposing or exhibiting with the object of obtaining or extorting alms, any sore, wound, injury, deformity or disease whether of a human being or an animal shall also be arrested, it said.

"Also, any person found having no visible means of subsistence and wandering about or remaining in any public place or in a temple, mosque or other place of public worship in such condition or manner as makes it like that the person doing so exists by soliciting alms or allowing himself to be used as an exhibit for the purpose of soliciting alms, does not include soliciting money or fee or gift for a purpose authorized by law or authorized in the prescribed manner by the District Magistrate, shall also be arrested," it read.&nbsp

The deputy commissioner directed senior superintendents of police, Srinagar and Budgam, to implement the order in letter and spirit and report the number of such arrests on daily basis.&nbsp
