<p>The internet is abuzz with mentions of Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) a.k.a., the green comet, which on Wednesday could be seen with the naked eye.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per NASA, the comet paid our planet a visit after a good 50,000 years. It was a rare feast for stargazers and astronomers alike as people around the globe witnessed the astronomical event.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It was a one-in-a-million sight — in a very literal sense — as estimates say that the next possible sighting won't happen for millions of years.</p>

<p>The comet passed just 26 million miles (or 42 million kilometres) from Earth.</p>

<p>According to NASA's Paul Chodas, While plenty of comets have graced the sky over the past year, "this one seems probably a little bit bigger and therefore a little bit brighter and it’s coming a little bit closer to the Earth’s orbit".</p>

<p>In what can very well be called the astronomical discovery of the century, astronomers have uncovered the existence of a supermassive black hole right in the middle of our galaxy.</p>

<p>This black hole's image was released in six simultaneous news conferences around the globe. At first glance, the image doesn't seem like much, a lumpy doughnut-like object that seems out of focus. However, it has finally provided visual evidence of a black hole, four million times more massive than the sun.</p>

<p>In the image, we can't see the massive object itself, because of the pitch-black dark. However,&nbsp;we can see glowing gas around it, revealing a telltale signature; a dark central region known as a shadow, surrounded by a bright ring-like structure.</p>

<p>Previously, scientists had witnessed stars orbiting around something invisible and massive right at the centre of the Milky Way but this is the first proof they have got.</p>

<p>Image for this black hole named Sagittarius A* or Sgr A* (pronounced "sadge-ay-star") was produced by the Event Horizon Telescope or EHT, Collaboration, using observations from a worldwide network of radio telescopes.</p>

There's a blackhole 4 million times the size of sun at the centre of Milky Way. Check it out!

<p>Earth will soon witness a 'Blood Moon'. From parts of Antarctica, the Americas, as well as western Europe, Africa and parts of the eastern Pacific, the eclipse will be visible late May 15th and early May 16th.</p>

<p>This is the first Blood Moon of 2022 and the astronomical event is happening after almost a year. The last one was on 25-26 May 2021.</p>

<p>Its name is because of its reddish glow. It occurs during a total lunar eclipse and the red colour is generated by the sun's light passing through the Earth's shadow.</p>

<p>During it the Earth blocks the moon's view of the sun, i.e., the Earth is positioned between the Moon and the Sun.</p>

<p>A video was shot and shared by&nbsp;Frankie Lucena (@frankie57pr) on Twitter in which the fireball can be seen heading in a downward direction, which the spectator claimed can be "a Taurid".</p>

This region has seen an increase in these activities with&nbsp;hundreds of Puerto Ricans&nbsp;spotting unexplained “white dots” in the sky during daylight hours, as reported by&nbsp;the Caribbean Astronomical Society.</p>

<p>“We are totally sure that what was seen in the sky were these balloons, since we even managed to capture photos through telescopes, at a time when the naked eye could see the same white dots that many saw,” the Caribbean Astronomical Society said in a statement.</p>
