According to news reports, a deadly fire has destroyed 60 guitars and almost 100 paintings at the North Carolina home of Jim Avett: the father of Scott and Seth Avett of the popular band, Avett Brothers.</p>

As per the Allen Volunteer Fire Department, the fire took palce at around 12:53 PM on Friday in Concord. Once firefighters arrived at the house, they noticed heavy fire coming from the garage of Avett's home.<br />
“The fire started from a golf cart. Half the house is totally beyond repair," he wrote.</p>

It’s not good! All art was lost ( probably 90-100 paintings.) While we are saddened by this setback it is not a knockout punch. We have the strength, attitude, faith and abilities to move forward. This is my 25th music video and I have accepted now that it’s my job to make these visual pieces of musical art. It’s been almost two years since I’ve been on the set, specifically for my own independent music video, where it’s about the fashion and the production. This is the first time that I didn’t take the whole creation process too seriously as I wanted it to be fun and free flowing.”</p>

<p>Halsey got nominated in two categories,&nbsp;in the favourite pop/rock song and collaboration of the year categories for &ldquo;Closer,&rdquo; but did not land any solo nominations despite having had a chart-topping album earlier this year.</p>

<p>The AMAs&#39; nominations have missed on several artists including&nbsp;Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Lorde, Demi Lovato, Lana Del Rey and Kesha, all of whom released new songs and albums this year. The list also misses Taylor Swift, who released a much-talked-about video in August for her<a href="http://www.wionews.com/world/taylor-swift-releases-new-song-look-what-you-made-me-do-19485" target="_blank"> single &ldquo;Look What You Made Me Do.&rdquo;</a></p>

<p>The AMA nominees are selected through measurements on fan interactions across Billboard Magazine and Billboard.com, which include figures from music sales, touring, streaming and radio airplay and social activity from Sept. 9, 2016, to Sept. 14, 2017, organizers said. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The winners of the American Music Awards are voted for by fans and will be announced at a live ceremony televised on ABC on Nov. 19.</p>

Female singers given a miss, upset with American Music Awards nominations

<p>The sudden death of Audioslaves and Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell has left the music industry stunned. However, the new developments suggesting suicide is shocking to another level.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In a statement revealed to Radar, The Wayne County Medical Examiner&rsquo;s Office stated, &ldquo;The Medical Examiner has completed the autopsy on 52-year-old Chris Cornell, the Soundgarden musician who died last night in Detroit. The cause of death has been determined as hanging by suicide. A full autopsy report has not yet been completed. There is no additional information at this time.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The singer, who performed about an hour ago before the incident occurred, was in high spirits, suggest close sources.</p>

<p>Right after finishing a concert in Detroit, Cornell was escorted to his room by security. He was later found dead in the bathroom with a band around his neck. It was his wife who suspected something was wrong as she raised an alarm, getting the security to break the door. These are just initial reports from autopsy.</p>

<p>The procedure is yet to be complete as toxicology and many more tests need to be conducted on him. Considering how he was a reformed drug abuser, tests for involvement of narcotics needs to be done. Only then, will they be able to determine whether it was the drugs that acted as catalysts. At the same time, the investigation regarding who he spoke to last and a lot more will be carried out.</p>

<p>According to Vicky Cornell, his wife, the singer showed no signs of depression or suicidal tendencies when they last spoke i.e. minutes before the concert. So it comes as a bigger shock.</p>

<p>Onlookers and fans commented how he was happy and there was so sign of sadness in his eyes or behaviour.</p>

<p>Even as his body was found in the bathroom (in the same clothes he wore for the concert), there was no sign of drugs or narcotics lying around.</p>

<p>The bandmates have agreed to cooperate with the police and answer their questions on the same.</p>

<p>The 52 year old was on a tour along with his bandmates. What&rsquo;s more sad is that right after his concert, Cornell even tweeted that he was in Detroit and excited for the same.</p>
