Talking about the assignment he was given by the actress' lawyers, Barresi said, "I was supposed to find instances of bad conduct, his past in accordance with what Heard alleges, to find other women who were abused by Johnny. I searched for a while. I spoke to a great many people, I knocked on doors. And, I couldn't find one person to say one deprecating thing about him."

While speaking to Law and Crime Network, Paul further revealed, "I collected all of these historic documents on him (Johnny Depp). The home he used to live in, the places his father worked, just really great stuff. Amber hired me in the summer of July 2019. I searched on every rock, every stone, all over the world to find out bad things about Johnny and we all came empty-handed."

Earlier, the PI told Daily Mail that the actress was an "opportunist on par with everyone else". He claimed that he has interviewed over 100s of Depp's former associates and hasn't discovered anything wrong worth mentioning.&nbsp;

The news was first reported by TMZ. The portal claimed to have spoken to the new&nbsp;owner of the house. According to them,&nbsp;the new owner was in touch with Heard’s team but never spoke to her directly.

Heard has already filed the notice to appeal the jury's decision in the defamation case.&nbsp;The actress' legal team submitted a two-page document to the Virginia Court of Appeals in Fairfax, Virginia on 21st July, Thursday.

After a six-week-long dramatic trial, Johnny Depp was awarded $10.35 million in damages while Heard won one of her three countersuits claims. She was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages.

After losing the case, Heard penned a long note on social media to talk about the judgement. "The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I'm heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband," she wrote.

"I’m even more disappointed with what this verdict means for other women. It is a setback. It sets back the clock to a time when a woman who spoke up and spoke out could be publicly shamed and humiliated. It sets back the idea that violence against women is to be taken seriously," Heard added.

The documents further claimed that the person who was selected for the jury duty&nbsp;was 77 years old at the time and he shares the same last name and Virginia address as someone who was 52. As per the reports, the younger person was summoned for the trial and not the older one.

"It is deeply troubling for an individual not summoned for jury duty nonetheless to appear for jury duty and serve on a jury, especially in a such as this," PEOPLE quotes the documents as saying. The lawyers further noted&nbsp;the "high-profile" status of the trial "where the fact and date of the jury trial were highly publicized prior to and after the issuance of the juror summonses."
