It was Daily Mail's correspondent Alison Boshoff who first reported that the&nbsp;Aquaman&nbsp;actress is raising her daughter away from the noise and has quietly relocated to Spain. "I can reveal that Heard has quit Hollywood and quietly relocated to Spain with her young daughter Oonagh," the journalist claimed in a report.

Boshoff also said that the actress knows how to speak Spanish and is happy in her new home and this she claims she got to know from Heard's friend herself.

Meanwhile, Johnny Depp recently received a seven-minute standing ovation at Cannes Film Festival for his new film Jeanne du Barry. The French-language film helmed by Maïwenn was controversially chosen to open the international film&nbsp;festival this year.

Depp famously sued Heard for defamation in 2019 after she wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post and claimed to be a domestic abuse survivor. By the end of the intense six-week trial in&nbsp;June&nbsp;2022, the jury unanimously decided that the&nbsp;Pirates of the Caribbean&nbsp;actor was defamed by his ex-partner, who it believed "acted with actual malice."

Depp was awarded $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages while Heard won $2 million in her countersuit against the actor.&nbsp;Based on Virginia laws limiting punitive damages, the amount owed by Heard was reduced to $10.35 million.

The news was first reported by TMZ. The portal claimed to have spoken to the new&nbsp;owner of the house. According to them,&nbsp;the new owner was in touch with Heard’s team but never spoke to her directly.

Heard has already filed the notice to appeal the jury's decision in the defamation case.&nbsp;The actress' legal team submitted a two-page document to the Virginia Court of Appeals in Fairfax, Virginia on 21st July, Thursday.

After a six-week-long dramatic trial, Johnny Depp was awarded $10.35 million in damages while Heard won one of her three countersuits claims. She was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages.

After losing the case, Heard penned a long note on social media to talk about the judgement. "The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I'm heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband," she wrote.

"I’m even more disappointed with what this verdict means for other women. It is a setback. It sets back the clock to a time when a woman who spoke up and spoke out could be publicly shamed and humiliated. It sets back the idea that violence against women is to be taken seriously," Heard added.

According to Deadline, in the paperwork filed in Fairfax County, Depp has put his legal players on the board. He has appealed the USD 2m defamation award a jury in Virginia handed to his ex-wife Amber Heard at their trial last month.

"Plaintiff and Counterclaim-Defendant John C. Depp, II, by counsel, hereby appeals to the Court of Appeals of Virginia from all adverse rulings and from the final judgment order of this Circuit Court entered on June 24, 2022," said the four-page notice of appeal.

A legal tactic right now, Depp`s appeal is as much in pure response to Heard`s appeal of July 21 as it is an effort to try to claw back the USD 2 million award that the Virginia jury gave Heard in her USD 100 million countersuit against Depp and his 2019 USD 50 million complaint, as per Deadline.

Heard`s lawyers had announced they would appeal immediately after the jury found on June 1 that she had defamed Depp by publishing an op-ed in the Washington Post in which she described herself as a "public figure representing domestic abuse."

The jury held that the statement was false and was made with "actual malice." They awarded Depp USD 15 million in damages but Heard had to pay USD 10.35 million due to a Virginia law limiting punitive damages (the judge reduced the amount). In her countersuit, Heard won one of the three defamation counts and was awarded USD 2 million in damages.

Heard`s lawyers had previously asked Judge Penney Azcarate to set aside the verdict for several reasons, including the allegation that one of the jurors showed up to the trial despite never receiving a summons, reported Variety. That request had been denied by the judge.&nbsp;
