Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma's double ton during the second ODI match against Sri Lanka was not less than a festival for the cricketing fans.
The splendid knock of unbeaten 208 runs made him the only cricketer to score three double centuries in ODIs, with two of them coming against the same opponent-Sri Lanka
With many people congratulating him for his accomplishment, the right-handed batsman's mother Purnima Sharma too expressed her happiness saying her son made the record on the day of his anniversary which doubled her joy.
Satisfied with her son's performance, Purnima said she feels proud that her son is the captain of Indian cricket team.
Rohit took 153 balls to reach his double century and hit 13 fours and 12 sixes in the inning.
Rohit’s first ever double century came in 2013 when he scored 209 against Australia in Bangalore.
