'Nepal will give best treatment': Sikandar Raza slams fans' take on WI cricketers loading luggage in small van

On Thursday (April 25), social media was buzzing when a video went viral of the West Indies A squad loading their luggage in a small van upon landing in Nepal for a five-match T20I series, which kicks off on April 27. Fans on social media shared their take on the treatment being meted outto the WI squad, however, Zimbabwe star all-rounder Sikandar Raza has slammed them all.

Raza took to his official handle on X, formerly Twitter, to write, "Can guarantee that Nepal will give them the best treatment possible within their means and rightly so and can also guarantee that none of the Caribbean boys will see this as a problem or a hassle."

Raza is currently playing for the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the ongoing IPL 2024 edition in India.

Reflecting on the tour, Desmond Haynes, WI's selection committee chief, earlier said, "I am confident this Nepal tour marks a crucial step forward in our preparatory phase for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. It presents an invaluable opportunity to get our players who are not in the IPL back on the park playing competitive T20 cricket as well as provides the chance for us to expose a few emerging prospects."

Notably, all the T20Iswill be played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
