Taiwan-based Asus has introduced a new ZenBook 3 at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 in Las Vegas. The all-aluminum Asus ZenBook 3 Deluxe is an enhanced version of the ZenBook 3.
It features a thickness of 12.9 mm - which makes it 15 per cent thinner than a MacBook Pro and 30 per cent thinner than a MacBook Air. The laptop weighs 1.1 kg.
As the company explains, its 13-inch-class chassis incorporates a 14-inch ultra-narrow-bezel display. In other words, the footprint is that of a 13-inch laptop, but the ZenBook 3 Deluxe has a 14-inch full HD display. The 7.46 mm bezel provides a 77 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The Gorilla Glass 5 on the notebook protects it against drops and scratches.
At its heart is the latest 7th Generation Intel Core processor paired with up to 16GB of 2133MHz LPDDR3 RAM and a 1TB PCI Express SSD.
Other features of the ZenBook 3 Deluxe include two USB Type-C, which are Thunderbolt 3-enabled with support for 40Gbps data transfers, and dual 4K UHD external displays.
It is available in two-colour options - Quartz Grey and Royal Blue.
