India’s YouTuber couple dies by suicide after argument following late-night shoot

The YouTuber couple that died by suicide on April 13

A YouTuber couple died Saturday (Apr 13) in Bahadurgarh district of India’s Haryana state by suicide following an argument over an undisclosed matter. The couple, identified as 25-year-old Garvit and 22-year-old Nandini, jumped off the seventh floor of a high-rise building in the city located just 20km away from the national capital Delhi.

Both content creators used to make reels, and videos for social media platforms like YouTube and Facebook. The couple had moved to Bahadurgarh just days ago from Dehradun along with their team. They had rented a flat on the seventh floor of Ruheela Residency.

As per the police, the couple died by suicide at 6 am in the morning. They had returned home late at night after a shoot and had some argument over an undisclosed matter.

Then in the morning, both of them committed suicide. Police are investigating the matter and retrieving CCTV footage to know what happened between the two that led them to take the extreme step.

The police sent the bodies for post-mortem. A forensics team was also present at the scene later in the day to gather evidence. Jagbir, the investigating officer of the case, was quoted by NDTV as saying, "We are looking into the incident, and further action will be taken accordingly."
