India: Uttar Pradesh teen gets his father killed by three shooters over pocket money

In a shocking turn of events, a 16-year-old boy from India’s northern Uttar Pradesh state reportedly hired three shooters to get his father killed, police officers revealed Saturday (Mar 23).

Father of the boy was shot dead on Thursday in the Patti area of Pratapgarh.

The boy was detained while the three shooters hired by him, namely Piyush Pal, Shubham Soni and Priyanshu, were arrested, said Additional Superintendent of Police Durgesh Kumar Singh.

The boy was reportedly angry with his father, 50-year-old Mohammed Naeem, as he 'didn’t give him enough money'.

The three shooters said the teen promised to pay them INR 600,000 ($7,000) in total, out of which INR 150,000 ($1,800) were paid in advance.

Speaking about the incident, ASP Durgesh Kumar Singh said, "The minor told us that he hired the shooters to murder his father and promised to pay them ₹6 lakh. He paid ₹1.5 lakh in advance with an assurance that he will pay the remaining amount once they kill his father."

"The minor said that he often used to steal money from the shop or jewellery from the house to fulfil his wishes. He had planned to get his father killed earlier also but had failed," the officer added.

Unrelated incident from Rajasthan

Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, a man from Rajasthan state killed his 60-year-old father and buried his body in the courtyard of his house.

According to PTI, the accused, Chunni Lal had a heated argument with his father Rajeng Baranda, on Wednesday. Chunni Lal then attacked his father with a sharp weapon on his head, leading to his immediate demise.
