Fuel prices across the nation were slashed on Monday with petrol being sold at Rs 71.23 per litre, a cut of 0.7 paise in the national capital.
While the diesel price was reduced by 0.20 paise. It is now being sold at Rs 65.56 per litre.
Meanwhile, in Mumbai, petrol price was recorded at Rs 76.91 per litre and diesel at Rs 68.76 per litre
Petrol price in Chennai was revised to Rs 74.01 while diesel price was at 69.36.
In Kolkata, petrol is being sold at Rs 73.47. Diesel is being sold at Rs 67.48.
Amid the global economic slowdown, oil prices have been falling for the past few days now.
On Tuesday, Brent crude futures, the international benchmark for oil prices, were at $60.88 at 0038 GMT. That was 40 cents, or 0.7%, below last session's close.
US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were at $52.94 per barrel, down 31 cents, or 0.6%.
Crude oil futures are now around 20% below their 2018 peaks reached in late April.
