Lashkar-e-Taiba on Monday claimed responsibility for the terror attacks in Sunjuwan Army Camp and Srinagar'sKaran Nagar.
It was earlier suspected that the terrorists belonged to Jaish-e-Mohmmad (JeM) network.
The terrorists opened fire at the camp located in Jammu-Pathankot National Highway which claimed lives of six including five security personnel and one civilian.
They struck the camp of the 36 brigade of Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry in the early hours on Saturday, triggering a gunbattle.
Two of the attackers in combat gear were also gunned down while nine others - a major, three personnel and five women and children -- were injured in the two-day-long operation.
Also, one CRPF personnel was killed during the encounter with terrorists in Srinagar's Karan Nagar area on Monday.
Earlier, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir tracked down two terrorists who tried to enter the CRPF camp in Srinagar on Monday morning.
Reports had indicated that the terrorists were carrying bags and AK-47 guns. The soldiers immediately opened fire as the terrorists fled the area as CRPF personnel prevented the terrorists from entering the camp.
Meanwhile, the Indian Army began a clearing operation after the terrorists attacked a military camp in J&K.
Army spokesperson Lt Col Devender Anand said the Army had found the bodies of three of its personnel and a civilian, taking the toll to six in the attack, and gunned down three terrorists.
"The Army has launched a fire assault as a part of a sanitisation and clearing operation. There was no exchange of fire," the Army said.
