Indian teen trolls US president Donald Trump over climate change

A tweet by an Assam teen Astha Sarmah went viral as her reply to US President Donald Trump on Twitter explaining the difference between weather and climate generated over 21,000 likes with more than 4000 users retweeting her.

Astha Sarmah is an 18-yr-old girl from Jorhat district of Assam.  

Donald Trump, tweeted on Wednesday about record cold temperatures striking the US on a single day, adding, 'Whatever happened to Global Warming?'

He wrote, “Brutal and Extended Cold Blast could shatter ALL RECORDS – Whatever happened to Global Warming?”

Nearly 113,000 people “liked” the tweet and some 28,000 retweeted it. Plus, 91,000 people replied to the president.

Astha Sarmah replied to the tweet saying, 'I am 54 years younger than you. I just finished high school with average marks. But even I can tell you that WEATHER IS NOT CLIMATE.'

The tweet went wildly viral, many praised the girl calling her 'hope of the future' and from some Twitter users, Astha Sarmah received backlash.
