Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesdayalleged that the idea of demonetisation came from a "particular ideologue of the RSS" and that the organisation was a big influence on prime minister Narendra Modi.

"Do you knowwhere the idea of notebandi (demonetisation) came from? It was not the RBI, not Arun Jaitley, it was not an officer in the financeministry. It was a particular ideologue of the RSS. The RSS presses an idea into the primeminister's mind and PM launches that idea," Rahul Gandhi said.

Rahul Gandhi alsoaccused the BJP of trying to capture the institutions of India and the RSS of trying to put its people into every institution.

"BJP is trying to capture the institutions of India. The RSS is trying to put its people in every institution. You must have heard Mohan Bhagwat's remarks," the Congress president said.

Rahul Gandhi's remarkscome in the context of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's statement yesterday that the RSS had the power to form an army within three days while the Indian army would take six months to prepare society.

Mohan Bhagwat had said, " If the Constitution allows and if any need arises the organisation will form an army in three days".

Yesterday, Rahul Gandhi had tweeted that Mohan Bhagwat's remarks were an insult to every Indian, flag, and soldier.
