Gujarat 26 Lok Sabha seats: Significance

The state boasts of the largest coastline in India, and its identity is often compounded within the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi— who was born in the Porbandar town of state in 1869— and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, whose acumen to bring princely states to accede to India after the departure of British in 1947 is widely hailed.
