The Gujarat police turned down the request made by political parties for conducting a road show in the state on the last day of election campaign

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will conclude the last of the electioncampaign in Gujarat with a visit to Ambaji Mata temple.

While addressing a press conference BJP President Amit Shah said thatPM Modi will visit Ambaji temple on 12 December.

He added that hisvisit will be done uniquely to promote tourism.

He said, "Modi will take off in a seaplanefrom Sabarmati riverfront, land in Dharoi dam's pond and will proceed to the temple by road."

Amit Shah's clarification came after the state police denied the request for aroad show on the last day of the election campaign in Gujarat.

The Gujarat police had turned down the request made by political parties for conducting a road show in the state.

BJP and Congress had requested for a roadshow to be conducted on Tuesday, however, the state police rejected their request citing law and order situation.

The state will undergo the second phase of elections on December 14for 93 seats in North and Central Gujarat.

The counting of votes is scheduled for December 18.
