'Padmaavat' makers unhappy about piracy, ask Maha cyber crime cell for help

While chaos seems to have died down against the screening of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic film "Padmaavat", there is still something else that is currently bothering the makers and it is none other than reports of privacy.
Makers of "Padmaavat"have now approached Maharashtra Cyber digital crime unit (DCU) -- state government's anti-online piracy unit in connection with piracy issues.
After news of their film being heavily pirated on the internet, makers have requested the government and its anti-online piracy unit to look into the matter.
The Maharashtra cyberdigital unit is four-months-old and is established in association withMotion Pictures Association of India, Producers Guild and Indian Music Industry.
As part of an action to stop websites that upload pirated video content, DCU has decided to take action against such websites and eliminate them.
The crime unit was launched under directives of the home department after the film industry approached the state's chief minister to complain about the losses they face due to online piracy.
