Shoojit Sircar completes 20 years in film industry, teases his next film with Abhishek Bachchan

Noted filmmaker Shoojit Sircar shared glimpses of his cinematic journey on social media on Thursday as he marked 20 years of being in the film industry.
Known for his unique storytelling to present ordinary stories through extraordinary narratives with a beautiful message in them, Sircar is credited for films like Piku, Vicky Donor, October, Madras Cafe, and Sardar Udham.
Sircar's production house Rising Sun Films shared a glimpse of his next film on social media. The video gives a glimpse of Sircar's all past work and shares a small glimpse of his next starring Abhishek Bachchan.
"Shoojit Sircar’s next is a heartwarming tale about ‘celebration of life’ in its everyday ordinary chaos! " read the caption.
According to a release shared with the media, the new untitled film is "an emotional journey with an entertaining narrative about a father and daughter who rekindle their precious bond while they navigate through life’s challenges."
"Shoojit’s films have always carried a legacy that is a cherished collection of moments that remind us to laugh, cry, fall in love and express all that’s within. His next compels us to discover the true value of life’s fleeting moments, learning to cherish each one."
"Coming to cinemas near you. Stay tuned!" the caption further added.
While the film will have its grand theatrical release in 2024, further details regarding the moviewill be revealed in due time.
Sircar and Bachchan were present on Prime Video's grand event on Tuesday. The film will be released theatrically first and eventually be available on Amazon Prime Video.
