She wrote in her post, ''Telugu Film Industry is known worldwide for its creativity and professionalism. I've had a great journey in this beautiful industry and still very much connected. It pains to hear such baseless and vicious rumours being spread about the women of this fraternity. What's more disheartening is the fact that this is being done by another woman who’s supposedly in a very responsible position. For the sake of dignity, we choose to remain silent but it is misconstrued as our weakness.''
Urging to not use her name to gain political mileage, ''I am absolutely apolitical and have nothing to do with any person/political party, whatsoever. I urge to stop using my name in a malicious way to gain political mileage.''
Konda Surekha's controversial comment
On October 2, Telangana Forest and Environment Minister Konda Surekha accused BRS leader KTR of throwing drug-related parties and introducing actresses todrugs.
Speaking to the media at an event, she said, "He [KTR] used to host rave parties for film celebrities. Many heroines have married quickly and exited the cinema field because of KTR's impact on their lives."
''The reason for injustice to Samantha is KTR. Two to three heroines have also got married early due to drug cases. Rakul Preet got married and other two to three heroines as well. Why do we have to bear this headache (of the drug cases) and get married soon? With the power they had previously, they tapped phones, made records and threatened them,"She said in a statement.
Naga Chaitanya's father, Nagarjuna, hasfiled a legal case against the politician.
