Kangana Ranaut in and as ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ in her upcoming film will now also be credited as co-director along with Krish. In a report published today, Kangana was added to the director’s credit as producer of the film Kamal Jain met with Zee Studios Monday night. See pictures from wrap-up party in Mumbai.
According to the report, the studio came to this conclusion as Kangana had headlined the 45-day reshoot schedule and was also involved in the editing process, VFX work, music, work of final cut. She also cut short her shooting schedule for another film ‘Panga’ so that she could make time for post-production work for ‘Manikarnika’. Watch teaser here.
Kamal confirmed the news and said, "The film is finally looking exactly the way we had envisioned it. Kangana is a perfectionist who headlined every department. We are happy with what she has done and it would be unfair to not give her credit where it's due."
The period drama has previously been in news for actors walking out of the film and tussle between director and Kangana over creative issues. In fact, Sonu Sood even walked out of the film owing to date issues when Kangana demanded more time owing to change in director and reshoot of several scenes.
