If you've been on the internet lately, you must have seen influencers, celebrities and even your friends making reels on Megan Thee Stallion's new song "Mamushi," which also features Japanese rap star Yuki Chiba, known as Kohh. The trend is called 'Watashi Wa Star' and the phrase means, "I am a star," in Japanese.

From the streets to the big stages, the song is taking over the world and how! The American rapper even performed the viral dance routine at Kamala Harris' Atlanta rally on Tuesday (Jul30).

Before you hop on the trend train and groove to the catchy song, check out what the song means.

"Okane Kasegu Orera ha(wa) staa," translates to, "I get money, I'm a star." Later in the song, Megan raps, "He knows who I am, ain't had to say my name. Stack it up like Tetris, but this money ain't a game."

When Megan repeatedly raps, "kira, kira," it means, "Sparkle, sparkle."

"Drinkin' out the bottle, gettin' twisted, Maruchan. Big exotic, Hermès, this a croc', hmm. Watch too expensive, ain't no way I'm gettin' clocked, hmm. I think I'm so sexy, every shirt I own is cropped, hmm. So many carats, diamonds do the bunny hop," Megan further raps.

Meanwhile, the song's title "Mamushi" refers to a small venomous pit viper and the song is about the "beginning of something new – she is shedding her skin like snakes do," according to Megan's official website.

Megan and Chiba reportedly decided to collaborate on a song last year when the American rapper visited Japan for the Anime Awards. Meanwhile, Megan's fans are well aware of her love for Japanese culture, anime and manga. Hence, the song doesn't come as a shock to her fandom.
